Just wondering, what is basically the likelihood these days of having a clean pc ( for daw etc ) when having a few random warez games ( torrented ) on the system?

Asking bc. i see varying opinions and not sure what is legit.

How can i be sure that the PC will be clean -> With <- Warez games on it?

i have tons of DAWs, plugins and also have and had hundreds of games who were/are warezed. And i also bought everything i liked to support the devs but still use the cracked version of the softwares just because i am to lazy to reinstall them. No porblem at all. Everything is ok. I only use Windows defender as antivirus, doublecheck files and exe cracks/keygens on Virustotal before i install them, i use Firefox with Noscript plugin, i manipulated the hostsfile with unwanted adresses e.g. to stop microsoft tracking as far its possible, do once in a while a scan with Adwcleaner and Malwarebytes Antimalware and thats it. No problems at all so far.

 

Also depends on your sources. If you get the official scene releases from a reliable source/ftp/seedbox then youre good to go.
If youre grabbing it off of random torrents sites and ul/rapidgator, etc. You never know what's in them.

+1 for script blockers. I use safescript on chrome.
Also adwcleaner, jrt (junkware removal tool), and mbam (malwarebytes antimalware)

If you are torrenting, look which releases have the most peers and also check the filesize. A blockbuster game is never few megabytes big.
