Reason 6? Already? It seems like just yesterday that 5 was released.

The new delay looks pretty neat. I'll have to try it out.

 

I hope that somebody upload the beta test version soon, and i'll try it too!!!

According to Propellerhead's site (in the "system requirements" section), Reason 6 will be using a dongle. Wonder how long before someone cracks it?

Reason's not my thing but this looks good. At least they have combined record and reason for this version.

Same 'reason' (sorry) you didn't see Record, dongle......To be honest there's not and never has been anything Reason can do that can't be done easily with other DAW's and vst's anyway.....Reason was the first Daw I ever 'finished' a track with, and I'll always think of her in the same way as my first woman lol. Thor is an excellent synth though and I still Rewire Reason, probably always will at some point....But, personally if my Reason journey ends at version 5, that's cool!!!........Loved the logos exploding in the video though Propellerhead

I think I might try reason 4 after checkin this video out. Im set for daws and vsti but maybe reason could breathe some life into my creativity which is r.i.p. for 3 weeks now

Reason has very open/reliable automation? some 3rd party vsti parameters Ive tried simply wont work...

 

that's definitely what it did to me! I don't know how to explain it, but i think Reason is the simplest way to create sounds that i hear in my head.
Reason has all i need, except audio sequencer, that's why i'm going to try save some money and buy Reason 6. Many people don't like Reason, because it's not vst compatible,
but with some tricks they can use external sampling function to sample every sound from their soundcard devices including VST!!!

I'd love to try it out, Reason was my first love/DAW, but anyways, I will never go back from Ableton live.

But I guess there will be not crack at all.

 

yo reason 6 is a beast i am using it now in full mode I am a owner of all the reasons so they let me use it in full as a bata tester the final version is sick i have produced ten records on it

 

How does it compare to Reason 4 or 5? I was thinking of giving Reason 4 a try since I now have a midi keyboard, years ago when I didnt I found the piano roll to awkward to draw notes.

 

in my opinion, reason is the best daw to change notes. when you compare it to fl, fl is a childgame

 

I cant tell you how it compares to Reason 6 as I never tried it, but if you have reason 5 (5 is better than 4, as you have some new and interesting tools (new drum machine, octorex) + improvements (multi-core improvement being enough to justify it IMO)) you can already do an awful lot!!!
the only thing that is to me an advantage of the new version (if what I was told is true) is that you can import wav files directly into it...which is impossible in previous version (unless you use one of the samplers ofc)...so I always have to convert my loops to rex files...but that's the only drawback I can think of when creating a song with it.
