I Like them a lot, Nice music/producer head on you.

Like you I had a music track produced entirely "in the Box" I added some Realtracks with Band in a Box.

It is like recording Real performances in the studio and adding them to your songs.

You pick the instrument, style, even the player, if you want. Show them where you want them to play, then render.

"Ohh, we don't like that take, try it again." This software makes me want to install a talkback mic in my one room studio! LOL

Fantastic Steel Guitar, Expressive Harmonica, Soulful Sax, Amazing Lead Guitars, all performed by leading studio musicians and following your music perfectly. I'm in heaven.

Don't get me wrong I use many VSTI's. However, just a few real performances takes the music to a new level and increases the production value greatly.

When people listen to my track they say "Who is that fantastic Sax Player?" I just say "I had some help from some out of town players, that's B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame'er Tom Keenlyside You've heard him on many recordings"

Great tracks Thanks for the listen.

    Thx Mr Burninstar,

reading your comment i feel like missing something with band in a box, never have an eye on it but i definitely will.

" This software makes me want to install a talkback mic in my one room studio! " moaaaarf.......

Btw, it seems Soundcloud integration is bugging today..?
    thx again

Very expressive music you've got....the first one could be a part of sound track on some European film.
the second one seems be drinking from a weird twist of a progressive band, 70's experimental, and who knows what...(I found it harder to follow)

Thx Rolma for yr comment, much appreciated

the final goal to me on this 2 track is.....singing

    But....

my favourite microphone goes 4 months ago back to USA for warranty repair and should be back in a few days now.

some parts were very difficult to find, but it's done.

and the problem is also, i'm not a songwriter neither a great melodist but i try and try and again.

i'm basically a drummer first and can also play some guit, bass & keys and singing will be the next step.

That's why i'm trying to keep a 3 mns format in all the durations, just to make real songs.

i liked the way you describe those 2 tracks " european film" and "drinking from a weird twist of a progressive band"

    thx again :mates:
    see ya

    logger,

I too am a Drummer first, Keep Slammin'! Drumming from the time I was a young teenager.

    As to your comment:

"i'm not a songwriter neither a great melodist but i try and try and again."

I can really relate to that, I use many tools. If you are just starting to write lyrics, check out MasterWriter 2.0. It helps me a lot and is used by many pros. Really helps you when you get stuck or have a block.

Again Band in a Box, Realtracks, They are helping me out with melodies and solos. That is my weakest link in the whole process.

Even without the Realtracks(80 gig) the basic BnB software will provide you with Drag & Drop MIDI melodies and solos that fit perfectly with your chord changes.

About the talkback remark, I was inferring that when working with Realtracks it is so much like producing in a real recording studio that the only thing missing is a talkback system.

I'm an old studio engineer/producer/talent. I also sing professionally 6 nights a week in nightclubs. If you have any questions or need an honest critic about singing I'm here for you

You are doing fine, and show great potential. These 2 songs even unfinished held my interest. It does my heart good to hear your work. Keep at it.

Really liked the 2 track ...

It does seem set for a nice vocal line (or many voices)

The first tune was also pretty cool, but for some reason my ears didn't like the kick/snare drums .. seemed a little "thin" and unrealistic. But that's just personal taste.

overall it's cool! And i was able to listen straight through without ear fatigue.

@ Burninstar, many thanks for both your comment and the help proposed.

    I'm really grateful.

I've been using Ableton Live as main DAW since the soft was released but you are really convincing me about trying BnB and MasterWriter 2.0

I saw your comment on BnB 2012 release on the other board, it looks like i have to be patient...but i'm am ...

" It does my heart good to hear your work " happy to be your new musical cardiologist ,)

Btw, may i ask you where are you from ?

@ Burg - thx for listen M8; i'm working on adding some voices but as i already said : quiet difficult to me, i'm in the "try"...

I think in this life and especially in music all is matter of personal taste, you might be right 'bout kick/snare....who knows?

I live in southern Ohio, US. and where do you live?

By the way you still need a DAW with band in a box. It does work as a stand alone but I use it together with my DAW.

I think it is great that you created these songs in Ableton live. I tried to compose in it but never got very far.

I know Protools from my old studio work, but I have a PC at my home studio, did some composition in FL Studio, It kind of worked for me.

However, Reaper became my go to DAW, If you ever feel limited by live try Reaper.

I'm gonna fire up my DAW and have some fun.. Maybe, soon I will post a song using some realtracks along with MIDI, working on one now.
