I like discovering "hidden" gems., the under dogs of Hollywood.I say hidden because they are never on tv and people just dont know about them.
Like Hoffman`s(one of my fav. actors) Straight time.

Though these are 70s movies and imo its probably the best decade for cinema, since in the late 60s Hollywod was collapsing, big name studios had an identity crisis so in the 70s independent cinema was huge.
The Long Goodbye, amazing atmosphere, a noir movie.

    Scarecrow with Hackman and Pacino.

Night moves, another hidden gem from Hackman.

The Silent Partner, great thriller with Christopher Plummer and Elliot Gould.

I may invite your for a late night drink, but you have to at least meet one of these three criteria.
    1.Be good at welding.
    2.Dance at a night club.
    3.Own a Porsche.

Please, do not disappoint me, at least lets go out and jack a Porsche.:chilling:
(loved this movie as a kid, still do,great score). There was some controversy when No man`s land was released, because it showed how to actually jack a car, the movie was censored in several countries)

I'm too old as well - or watch too many films - there's only 2 images that I don't recognize. At least not without tips.

@Von_Steyr and @subGENRE Thanx a lot guys. You saved me big time.I will not attempt to watch them.Never seen those movies even if i knew their soundtrack pretty well and also seen some clips or trailers of 'em. I don't know why but there are many well known movies that i haven't watched. Movies like these, or others like terminator , alien , etc. I wasn't attracted to TV back then. Some of them i watched them recently only to realize as an adult that many vfx looked like crap , but in the end you have this euphoria that the guy finally made it in the end.Saved the world, f**ked or married the girl , succeeded in his job , and all the bad guys are now losers.A funny line from a newer spy-comedy film (can't recall the title now) , when the spy , just before saving the world , finds the princess ,and says
-I never kissed a princess before
-You can kiss me if you save me
-I have to save the world first
-If you do, you can have my ass too
Which basically is trolling all those success stories from back then.Anyway that was a looooong post but hey this is the chit chatting section isn't it?
@Oysters I couldn't agree more with you my friend. All the movies you watched back in the 80s , you really wanna watch them again, but anything new to you (from back then) is just another crappy teenage movie.

Same here, my personal favourite from that era. I could be wrong and stand corrected but Terminator 2 soundtrack can be categorized today as an entry into the EPIC genre. If reworked/remastered, it will be a heart pounding experience. Brad Fiedle is known to rejuvenate the industrial and electronic music in the soundtracks and score which was almost disappearing from the mainstream.

Took me ages to rent this from the video shop. When I finally got it out and watched it, I enjoyed it that much, I rewound it and watched it again.

    Good soundtrack too.
