    Good find !
    I think I'd definitely need a touch screen PC to use it so I could feel more 'trek' and futuristic. I mean no-one used a mouse in the year 2364!
    Just think of the possibilities though for changing the text in the theme:

    Render = Make It So
    Pause = Tea, Earl Grey, Hot
    Help? = Darmok and Jalad at Tenagra!
    Mute = Shut Up Wesley

    I'm sure we could think of many more.......:)

    Awesome text ideas!

    Aw, definitely in my top 10 of favorite TNG episodes. I don't know the name of the episodes, but the two with Locutus are my top 2, followed by the two, where the team does a time travel after finding Data's head (meeting Jack London and Mark Twain). Down to 15+ then follow all episodes with Q ;)

    While this (and the PADD version) look really great I have to admit that I would take a lot more to take Studio One from my dead cold hands...well: the same workflow actually...
    I really don't care about design of things or GUIs as long as they work (big fan of form follows function) but LCARS is simply triggering the geek in me :D

    Nice discussion going on here. I witnessed too many fights about Sci-Fi not to be amazed how civil this thread keeps going on...

    I'd say, since you started this thread asking for Star Trek fans, if this thread doesn't keep civil the people have not understood the values, the series stands for :yes:

    Btw. @Polymetrix , are you familiar with ASMR? "Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response" is quite popular on YouTube, and I ask, because a good friend of mine is a real Trekkie and made a Star Trek TNG ASMR video. It doesn't matter that he speaks in German, since it's not the text that's important, but the sound ambience as a whole. I made all the video editing and the intro, if this is of any meaning.

    Good ones! Hahah...
    I can think of "alternatives" for:
    Render = "Make it four times faster, Scotty" lol
    Help = "Spock, do something!"

    Don't underestimate human stupidity... like Hillary did :P

    What about?

    Delete = He's dead Jim
    Freeze Track = The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one
    (though that phrase may be hard to fit on a icon or a menu :)

    straying off topic somewhat...
    I can just imagine this:
    Kirk: "Bones its needs more cowbell."
    McCoy: "Damn it man I'm a doctor not a mixing engineer!"

    Nuff said!! The Borg are my favorites. I like the Enterprise Episodes that had them.

    You will be assimilated.

    Resistance is futile.

    The best villains of TNG hands down! Ok, villain... No wonder why appeared in one movie and other ST shows (Enterprise)

    Imagine you know this fantastic ambient track. You listened to it maybe a couple of hundred times, know it inside out.
    In it are a couple of great lines of speech, of deep, philosophical quality.. The artist maybe sampled them from a poem, or a movie?
    Then, maybe a decade later, you decide to bench-watch a certain series..

    The artist, Pete Namlook was one of my favorite artists of all time. Sadly, he suddenly passed away a couple of years ago. But what a moment I had! Still gives me goosebumps! A tribute most certainly belongs in this topic..
