    Hey guys,

I want to deepen my mixing knowledge and so am looking for some good tutorials. I'm subscribed to soundonsound, read it alot and that covers much theory, but I thought also having video resources might be a good idea. I'm looking for something of high quality and on a fairly advanced level, I know pensados place and like it but find it hard to follow him sometimes because he tends to ramble.

    Help me out :)

You can find a lot of useful resources on Groove3 and Udemy. Use sister site "Search"... It's better than you think. :)

As for youtube channels my current favorite is MisBusTV. Guy seems pretty straightforward, 0% bullshit.

of the tutorials available on the sister site, can anyone recommend anything? I just keep finding stuff that seems to be for beginners, not that I'm that advanced, but I don't need to be told what a compressor does or how to use send effects all over again and again

@AlbertoBalsam I have some questions before suggesting anything that will help us be more specific about our recommendation.

    1. Are you interested in mixing and engineering or lets say do you want to make a career out of it? or is it just to improve production and gain more knowledge?
    2. What type of music do you like to work on? Acoustic songs, huge Orchestras or Electronic stuff?
    3. How much can you afford? (both time and money-wise)

A lot of us probably don't do live recordings but this is one of the best sessions i've ever seen.

Also check out some of Mr.Schepps sessions and Bob Power.

Anything from PUREMIX with that frenchie asshole Pierre or Fabi or whatever his name is. Pure gold.
You'll know you have your man because he always starts his tutorial with "Hellooo, children." And after that it's nonstop mixing gold for the whole duration.

    PureMix, Pensado's Place, Lynda, etc.
Don't go with Udemy. They are usually pretty crappy.

Haven't found any but there is a paid one http://thinkspaceeducation.com/om/

@AlbertoBalsam you are right. Most of them suffering from the same old information. If you like something outstanding that is really coming from a pro then there is only one (at least for me) valued one in the market, which is Bobby Owsinski 101 Mixing Tricks...no match!!! I have seen many have adopted his Abbey road Reverb trick with different names and presenting it on youtube as something of their own. However Dave Pensado gives him credit and mentions his name while further going into details and modification of the trick. 101 Mixing Tricks is available on sister site, but if you like and have some funds, buy from him. Here is Bobby's youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKy2GMVOA392OYDi-y_Pzrw/videos . His own website: https://www.bobbyowsinskicourses.com/

@santakaloz I have personally asked Bobby to consider doing tutorial series on orchestral/cinematic/trailer music mixing/mastering and he replied it's a good idea. Don't know if he will ever do it or not but keep an eyes.

But look how helpless Dave is in front of Alan Meyerson :winker:. But he is indeed one of the best when it comes to mixing with plugins.
