I'm currently aware of GTune which is a free plugin for tuning (http://www.gvst.co.uk/gtune.htm), as well as using a high pitch sine wave for tuning but i was wondering if anyone was any other suggestions for anything better/more responsive? It would be amazing if there was a really fast and responsive one so i could find out my sample's tune. (Currently using FL Studio as my DAW). Im not sure how responsive abeltons pitcher is but if there is a wrapper for it or something, that would be greatly appreciated (It looks like it provides very nice functionality). The samples im trying to tune arent always one determined pitch and slightly deviate over time.

This also brings me onto another question. Are there any techniques/samplers/vsts where you can create a sub (clean sine wave) that follows the upper harmonics of a sample? Cheers in advance.

MAnalyzer from Melda is in their free bundle.

As for your 2nd question, you could demo MBassador (Melda) for €39.

Another freebie is Metro Halo Thumb.

I really wanted to test out Thump, but unfortunately wasn't working in Sonar Platinum at the time.

    1. In FL, there's Edison. Use it to record a sample then 'detect pitch' - you'll find it in the menus.
    2. use: http://www.gvst.co.uk/gtune.htm
    3. Wavecandy works, yep.
    4. my favorite: use a sine wave or a piano on the side to determine perfectly by ear.
