not only did they play it.. sounds damn good... the ol' boy nailed the high notes nicely

only thing , he sang circumnavigATES, instead of circumnavigITES....
otherwise smashing version...

Yes, a tricky thing to undertake at a reunion concert.

I guess it just goes to show that playing live gigs in small bars while growing up is no bad thing for ones musicianship

indeed.. has that gone by the wayside in merry olde? I mean could a band like Oasis even take off the same way now?
or is it all given to DJs and such ?

used to be the same here.. little band that pays its road dues..
then after a few years hard work builds into a pristine rock and rolling machine e.g. REM

 

The first obstacle would be finding somewhere to play, as small bar type venues are disappearing fast. Secondly, you would have to know some young people who actually leave the house/internet

Here is a local band who seem to have bypassed all that sort of thing
