I am registered on AudioZ since 15.06.2012. I had an account long before that date. But for reasons that do not concern you, this account has been closed. So I know well about as much as you.

There are a lot of animosity from you towards this guy.
And I repeat my question:
How many and under what nickname have been moderator since opening AudioZ..?

 

Cat is good people. I've seen him pop up elsewhere from time to time but only rarely and I always seem to miss him.

Regarding the less well regarded aspects of his tenure as mod. I believed, and still do to an extent, there were legitimate reasons for that. It was poorly handled, yes, by him and all of us that aligned ourselves with his point of view. But there were other people guilty of bad behavior as well.

 

Missing a lot our friend Catalyst.

I've noticed a lot of the people that dislike him don't really seem to know a lot about what was going on with the scene at the time. Let me repeat: what he did, he did with the intention of keeping the long-term viability of the scene healthy. Many of the people complaining are those who wanted the "short term" goals. If they knew what others knew, they'd probably think differently. Not really my place to talk about this stuff. So I'll leave it there. But remember, his goal was to keep the scene healthy for the long-term. Which keeps EVERYONE HERE in releases. Whether you see it or not, he was trying to help everyone. Even those with less than savory comments...

all I want to say..did you happen to miss the obvious, that these sites, the scene, etc.. are flourishing quite nicely
the way things are now? as if nothing could survive the past events and loss of prominent personalities

I had one problem here on audiosex when I posted on a thread which was not exactly related to the thread but that made sense. And the moderator removed my post. But when I see some frequent users doing same thing, they were always ignored. Partiality

I believe that saint did good. And oly is better in my opinion.

 

Despite my rather "heated" post (or was that a rant?) yesterday, ( ;) ), I CERTAINLY did NOT say or mean to say or make ANY correlation between Catalyst and R2R. That would be silly talk! R2R makes their own decisions i imagine far from some of the juvenilia that can arise here or elsewhere, and for reasons beyond the scope of my knowledge. I was simply referring to what "they" referred to in closing up their release shop for awhile last year... It was a matter of lack of gratitude and some other issues I am foggy on right now... So lest anyone think I said that, I didn't, nor meant to imply... if that was inferred...

As far as Copylefter getting testy before the chosen retirement of his illustrious career, sure, and a lot of that had to do with the ingratitude and "moremoremore" from people, and failing to read .nfo's, and clearly delineated explanations etc.. He was getting a bit short tempered... i kinda found it amusing, and I don't think he meant harm on anyone, or I wouldn't have felt that way...and I feel bad for anyone who was truly "hurt" by anything he said. He is a brilliant reverser. His loss is immeasurable, (at least to me as a friend and more).. and I hope him nothing, nothing but the best wherever he is. (and I hope he has a nice cold dark beer as he loves..)...

And of course ALL respect to Platensesoul and DiGiTALMACHiNE for all their work, and their decorum. Absolutely. without question.

As my signature on the sister site says, I thank all and am grateful for all of the hardworking people /teams/ releasers/ packers/ reuppers/ moderators/ thoughtful members who help out newer people who are not quite sure how it works, or older people in a jam, or give great editorial insights to the material we are discussing...and anyone else I may have left out...

I have been registered on audioz since 2014 but have been following the scene since 2011 only never registered.
I can only say that ever since Saint made certain decisions the scene is again alive and powerful.
The scene almost died, there were months with not much being released and much of that is just now coming out.
Saint saved the scene people.
Yes Cat might have been a good person and a friend to many but his professional decisions related to the scene were bad.

Saint saved the scene?!?!? You obviously don't have a good understanding of what the scene is. I suggest you read this very carefully. Remember when Sunny leaked all of R2R's Christmas gifts to integral, who then uploaded them prematurely on Audioz? Can you imagine how much that must have stung R2R? What did Saint do to soften the blow? Absolutely nothing, not even a slap on the wrist. Audioz was getting ddos for a few days after that. Saint is a business man. His interest in profit far outweighs his interest in the scene.

I understand it can be beneficial to occassionally brown nose the administrator, but seriously, you need to come up for air every once in a while...

I dont think so.I have had a few conversation with Saint and it always seemed to me like he really cares about his project.
Hey you need to cover the costs for servers and other expenses so being a business man as well has kept his sites alive.
When i`ve said that he saved the scene i meant he made it possible for the releases to flow towards the public again.
Its all about the balance.
Groups do the hard work but lets be honest, the warez scene is being hit hard and audioz is one of the last sites that is still going strong.
Its an underground community that has helped hundreds of poorer artist to compete with the best.
Its a chain and Saint`s involvement is as important as of those from the groups that do the hard work.
You think its so cool, the feds and all those corporations breathing down your neck and want you behind bars?Are you even aware Sanit is the most exposed figure in the whole chain?

Brown nose?Lol...me? Im the last guy on audiosex to brown nose the administrator, i have been in trouble 2x with him and a certain mod because of my big mouth.

 

Off the topic regarding ratings; I cannot help perceiving 'nasty' as a positive rating. How do you guys perceive it?

i´m sure the scene does not needs audioz to release something . did you even noticed that they are breaking their own rules ? if uploaders from scene set not to post mirrors , always they make their own mirrors posted by Pirat allowed by Saint . if some other user do that they gets a warning and gets deleted . why saint even have implemented popups (do you remember this thread here) ? he does this and cares only about his projects and not about the scene , a business man which makes money out of warez .
