Actually, on my 'main' computer. I'm still using version 5.5.0.409. But, on my secondary computer, I'm playing around with the latest version. I have too many libraries installed on computer number one to be willing to engage in a techno wrestling match with many of the problems (at least for me) that appear to be Inherent in 5.6. (No stomach or patience for it). On the other computer (with only about a dozen or so libraries) that's not a problem. In any event, 5.5.0 will do for now. Call me a "dinosaur" lover... <lol>

 

It says Kontakt Player because you must have used Native Instruments Kontakt v5.5.1 (FullInstaller) Unlocked-TRACER and not R2R's release.
I remember using that a long time ago.

It let you use the regular installer from NI's website and then patched it after install with a SNOregpatch that was included. The header always remained 'Kontakt Player' even though you had all the features of Kontkat Full.

 

again thank you pinkman for your ongoing help, to everyone on this thread i found that once i put my libraries on my desktop it worked perfectly, but if i had them in my d drive it would say library encrypted . i dont know why but it works now if that helps anyone

 

Indeed... this is exactly what I have used and didn't know about this peculiarity! Thanks a lot for explaining it to me. The reason I used that 5.5.1 version is because I can not find any other one... Do you by any chance know where I may be able to find the 5.5.1 R2R that you mentioned?

Thanks for your feedback! I am also not into spending any more time fiddling with 5.6 and the latest... I have already spent so much time trying to figure out how to solve the issues I have mentioned here in my previous posts...

May I ask if you have ever encountered the issue where libraries disappear from Kontakt after adding them via the "add library" tab and reopening kontakt. I have Spitfire Chamber Strings that keeps disappearing from the Kontakt interface.

That was a general statement, bro. I don't even know if R2R released a 5.5.1 I know he had a 5.5.0
I'd suggest just using TRACER's if that's what works for you.
I'm sure I could get a hold of it if you don't have the install anymore.

So far, I have not encountered that problem (with that particular library). Here are a few steps you can try, if you have not tried already.

In some cases, KONTAKT libraries may disappear from the Library tab after restarting KONTAKT. To resolve this issue follow the steps below:
Download and install the latest version of KONTAKT, which is available via Service Center or by logging in to the Update Manager on the Native Instruments website.

1. Navigate to the following folder:
   • OS X: Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center
   • Windows: C > Program Files > Common Files > Native Instruments > Service Center
2. Delete the "Productname.xml" file belonging to the KONTAKT library, which disappears from the Library tab.
3. Reboot your computer.
4. Launch KONTAKT and add the library again to the Library tab.
5. If you are asked to activate the library, click Activate in the library box and follow the on-screen instructions.

Steps 2 and 3 generally works for me when that crap happens.

Hi guys i am able to upgrade 5.5.0 to 5.6.1 in 64 bit but not 32 bit. ( i need 32 bit because thats what i run cubase in) My question is do i need to find and replace the 32bit exec file as well ??? Tried searching for it everywhere but cant find it in my c drive anywhere !!!!
Also do i need to replace the common files folder for both 32bit and 64 bit ??? Many thanks

No. The site owner (SAINT) tries to maintain a clear line of demarcation between the two. That's a good thing, when it's all said and done, bro.

S-1-5-21-3544210310-257015573-1803582339-1000 is probably the "SID" of your Windows account, and linked to your "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" - except of course if you've multiple accounts (logons) on your system - and one installed Kontakt 5 per Windows account.

I'm having troubles activating a library using R2R keygen, I'm on kontakt 5.6 for mac and the library that i need to use only works on 5.6 and above.

The library has been out for a couple of days and freshly added to the keygen list, but when i try to activate offline, the serial does not match the systemID. Any clue of what this could come from?
