just about every interview you see those two having a go... verbal or otherwise, the drummer and bass player that is..

one good thing they are all still alive..and we may yet get the geriatric goodbye tour

Andy Summers developed a really signature guitar tone for this band...
and he has indeed gone on to put out some superb guitar music..

 

I know , I know these guys are legendary. But I honestly thought that the tread would talk about police...

 

Sting is a genius anything he does he does well.

I remember waiting at a wet bus stop when i was a kid.. and my fav female teacher came by.. stopped, rolled window down... asked me if I needed a ride..

I like the interviews with Jools Holland. They are no bullshit, cut to the chase which are very revealing of the artists on his other end. I always dug his musicianship all the way back to Squeeze whom I thought were just brilliant.

I remember the exact moment that I first heard The Police. I was driving on the Van Wyck Expressway in my Grandfather's Chevy Impala, and just as I was passing under the Jamaica Avenue overpass, Dave Herman, my friend Jenny's Dad and DJ at WNEW FM played Message In A Bottle. I was like, Wow, what the hell is that, reggae, rock, progressive? It was refreshing and new, and I instantly within the first four beats if the song became a fan of the band.
