When I'm using the VST version of Kontakt with Steven Slate Drums with Patchworks 1.7 in PT12, the audio stops working sometimes after sitting idle or when I start playback from the top of the session.
I have to toggle the power on the Bluecat interface insert off an on again. It's almost like Bluecat is in demo mode, but there is no visual indication of demo mode.

I'm not using the synth version of Bluecat just the plugin chain version. Maybe I need to put Kontakt in the "pre" slot?

    Anyone else seeing this?

Why not just use Kontakt as AAX?
Well, regardless... you should be placing it in the "Pre" column.
Also, if you plan on routing out individual kit pieces from Slate then you should be using the synth verion of PatchWork.
These things shouldn't cause the sound to drop out though I don't think.

I couldn't find a working kontakt version for aax, So I started to use patchworks and I use the vst or au version.
OK so let me try using it as the pre-slot versus the other.
Do you have any experience using the synth version to route slate drums out and into ProTools? That would be very helpful

    Thanks!!

The AAX version has worked in Pro Tools for a while now.
No reason not to use the most recent R2R release on the sister site.

I have routed other VSTs through the synth multi out from PatchWork but haven't had the need to work that way with Kontakt.
You would just set the outputs in Kontakt then assign those plugin channels on AUX tracks.

I hate to be the RTFM guy but I get the impression that you may be new to working with PatchWork.
The manual does a very good job of explaining both the plugin's signal flow and the multi out routing.

I'll check out R2R's Kontakt release. The last few I tried for PT11/12 only worked as demos, no matter what I did as far as replacing/adding permissions to files etc. I'm on OSX
I started to look at the Patchwork manual and couldn't see a way to have the patchworks outputs show up in the Kontakt outputs. Kontakt itself is a PITA to route from Pro Tools into separate tracks, and Patchwork seems to throw another layer on top of that ; )
Normally I just use VST/AU plugins through pachwork in a simple routing scheme, although I realize it does much more. However, I'll give it a try now that it's morning.
It's OK to be the RTFM guy, I'm just better at visual learning (videos etc)

    Thanks!
