This is just ridiculous, how to save the presets for
that contest with a cropped beta product???
Or did i misunderstand something?....

 

Maybe you can just save the presets "online" in their database, not locally.

I've just changed the text on Curve 2's website to this:

- The beta currently ships with almost no presets. You'll get many presets when you open the preset browser and click "Sync", though.
- This beta corresponds to a demo version. Saving presets in your host is disabled, but you can add your presets to Curve's internal preset browser.

 

Yes, little bit too expensive its price.
Years ago i bought ABSYNTH4 for 149€, but that one was coming with a huge sound library + all the manuals.
I bought the Boxed version.

i must agree with you on the price of this ...or wait for an offer ...for those money you can have very good software from tubeohm ;) a small and great company ;) also, ckmodules with his plugs, karmafx the modular synth, i got DCAM Synths at 80 euros, 3 mot one ;D and so on ;) ...

 

You're welcome to find it too expensive. I propose to give it a try, as Curve 2 has some unique features (waveform and envelopes drawing, shared preset database, it's easy to use, etc).

Curve 2 does not have a huge sound library yet - but it's constantly growing. If a big sound library is what you're after, I propose that you wait until the final Curve 2.0 release - users and our sound designers will have shared tons of presets by then, and it will get more after the release.

To the manuals: People sometimes ask for a manual, but it seems it's only because they're used to it. It's hardly ever because something is not understood with Curve. We are doing hallway tests (inviting people to use it and we watch them doing so to find the usability issues), and we believe that we came up with a software that is simple to use. Give it a try!

Concerning pricing: you might also want to look at the Cableguys Bundle - that's all plugins for 149 EUR/199 USD (Curve 1 + free upgrade to Curve 2, VolumeShaper 3, FilterShaper 2, MidiShaper).

 

I have the latest version of curve 2 and only 5 pages of presets. When I click on sync, I get an error. I removed the paid version. Installed a demo one too but the error is still the same. I reinstalled the paid version but nothing changes. How do I get access to all the presets? Im using macbook pro and ableton live.

 

I notice there's an additive looking histogram at the top that changes based on the curve you draw. Can you also edit the histogram?
