You all are lying, the only magic plugin that exists is called Nexus2 =P

 

There are pros that can make magic happen with the stock Ableton EQ. It's all about your ears, and not the gears. (Shoulda been a poet).

The only UAD plugs that interest me -- the only reason I'd even invest in a UAD-2 satellite -- are the Ampex and Studer plugs. Both are apparently amazingly close to the real thing, and what it would cost to get them, as well as the hardware to run it, are significantly cheaper than buying real decks and tape stock. I'd want those around for anyone wishing to record cheap, but still lamenting about not being able to record analog. They're actually close enough to the real thing that you'd still have to learn how to record to tape properly, as well as figuring out the right kinds of tape stock, recorder EQ, tape speed, etc., in order to make them sound right, but you wouldn't have to drop a small fortune every week to keep physical decks properly maintained.

 

Just got the UAD Chandler CurveBender- THIS is real magic! everything sounds like shit without it. I wanted to sell my UAD but since i bought this i will keep it. Tape-wise UAD Ampex is nice indeed, but im gonna save for an Anamod ATS-1. No tape emulation plugin is close to the real thing. Vertigo VSM-3 is also just awesome.

This thing is based on Emi TG12345 desk from Abbey Road studios.
Waves has their version called TG12345 and its also an amazing plugin.For algos these plugins really deliver quality, so i believe you that its good.

 

Have been messing around with the Acustica SAND plugin and I am flipping impressed. Shoved it onto the master bus of a finished song and just used the preamp and EQ sections. It's definitely added some presence and detail to the mids and highs. Really keen to see what it does to a drum buss and bassline

for those who don't have UAD-card , and so the chandler TG12345 there is the abbey road TG Mastering Pack...
The presence section of the abbey road TG1214 is the same as the presence EQ on the legendary TG12345 mixing console.
The TG12412 plug-in is a four-band, semi-parametric EQ with selectable frequencies and curve shapes on each band. The Shape control provides the shelving and variable bell curves from the original module

A lot of plugs are amazing but some makes the difference ....
Kush Audio clariphonic mkII , Bx_digital-V2 , UAD_shodows hills , UAD Manley vari-mu , UAD Manley Passive EQ or (NI Passive EQ) ,
UAD VOG , Sonnox Inflator , Sonnox limiter ,Waves jjp series , many Soundtoys plugs , my go to are (little)-radiator & devil loc (deluxe) ....
etc ...

 

Most people don't give it a chance because it's free and it takes a while to really get the most out of it.
