Nicely done, altho I feel the vocals could sit better.. feel a bit detached from the music to me.

One of my fav songs, must have sang it 10,000 times.

 

That's weird cos I feel the total opposite. I've just said to myself how the vocals fits perfectly into the mix. At 1.19 they jump in your face (but I think it's done on purpose), and at 1.52 the effect on them is absolutely brilliant.
It's a f....g hard task to perfectly fit into a personal compo an acapella made for another record. In most cases it's nearly impossible - that's one of the main reasons why we hear so many crappy "remixes".
I'm really curious to see if someone can manage to do it better...

 

Well, im certainly not gonna try... remixing just aint my thing.

Maybe I just have the original engrained too deep, didnt seem to mesh like it.

No biggie, overall, real nice job.
