    Hi Steve. I'll collab with you. Show you what's up in Ableton. Get you proper and out of loopville. Just finished a track. Got 2 more on the back burner in various stages of completion. Or would you rather start new?

    You dont know how bad I want to troll you. Im imagining all the jokes I could hide in an ableton project from crazy noises to actually drawing a picture with colored clips in the arrangment, but...... I'll be the better man and forget all that transpired. Lets see where this goes, and youll see an ableton workflow for the genre of music you want to make.
    I like to start with a progression/groove and an empty arrangement.
    I used to always start with the beat, but nowadays the drums are mostly all about the layering instead of playing.

    And show you that there is no ultimate template, chain or preset. Its about knowing your tools and using the proper ones to get your sound to what you hear in you head. Oh and lots of serum LoL

    @SteveDuda'sBoyfriend Okay got a progression....Emaj/C#min. pm me your email so I can send you a link.
    I used Cthulhu to hunt and peck out a progression real quick, but then went back into the midi and made it proper for what we need. Each chord is now 6 notes including the octave and grouped more tightly on the keyboard and not so spread out like the Cthulhu preset. We will add in our own bass and dont need it on the intro progression midi

    He's thirsty for knowledge but has been going about it all wrong. Need to humble yourself. This stuff is easy to learn but takes years to master.
