Hi, since a couple of days ago I have problems to access Audioz, everytime I go to the site my Avast jumps and says "swf malware-gen trj", and then the page gets blocked and I can't click anywhere because it doesn't work and to make it work I have to refresh the page and stop the refreshing before the page completely loads, which is just a headache, this happens also with peeplink, does anyone know why does this happen?

Okay guys so I've seen another post talking about the pop ups stuff and it results that I wasn't logged on because I just reinstalled everything but I couldn't log on neither because of this problem, so I turned off Avast, logged in, turn it on again, and now it's working, so it seems Avast was detecting trojans or some malware on the pop ups, didn't happen with other pages with pop ups, just saying for the moderation to know because I've seen there is a problem with this.

I would suggest it is most likely a false positive. Avast as well as AVG are notorious for them.

I never had a warning with Avast. I regularly analyze the "C" drive and I use also Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and zero positive.

AVAST is bad System, its complaining of a lot of possible threats, the best is to use something else. Komodo worked fine in 2012 as i used my last antivirus software.

perhaps avast does have a revenue stream and its not really everything for free even if it does not cost a thing?

It does delete anything named keygen exe or similar too, a viable concern for idiotic pc users

if you know what you are doing then you dont need avast to police your way of browsing anyways..

kindly enough, i think its your way of using avast that is the culprit?

avast is set by default to operate correctly and safely for a majority of users, most do not know what they are doing and even the cheap ways to support the company for added idiot proof protection, others like to think they know, yet cannot figure it out by themselves

long story short, you can disable avast for X amount of minutes with two clicks

I'M without A/V scanner even longer, 2005 or so...
A/V is for people who want to slow down their machines so they can catch up with too quick graphics an not-cracking sound :winker:.
    Just kidding.

Most A/V are really bad for performance, making the machine producing problems at least once a week. AND making people feel TOO secure. When I had A/V back then I catched some viruses because I thought the A/V would identify them. It did not. And I was left with a virus and needed to install the system from scratch.
Nowadays I'm a lot more careful and am making backups at least every 2 days so I can revert to a backup when my machine would be infected.
But that never happended the last 10 years. sooooo....

I think that a lot of, if not the most problems with PCs result from bad A/Vs.

yes in that time i became more careful too, important job related files i have backed up on pendrives (have now 5 of them, getting regular new ones for free lol).
and with R2R releases you cant do anything wrong.
yes you think your AV will take care of everything, but indeed it creates more problems.
i also reversed a lot in 2013-2015 and the AV would have been in the way as i disabled Patch Guard and installed and modified the system frequently.
not to speak about the performance wasting you have over the time.
most people also think or forget scanning their system and think the real time protection is enough. but again when you have so many files like today, scanning takes ages and nobody wants to invest or waste that time.

@OP: if you want to go sure, disable java script, flash and other addons you dont need always, because over that viruses and worm can get on your system.
