I'm currently using Mackie HR824 MK1 which is the wood frame version. Sounds coming out of those things are amazing.

When i'll be on that budget i'll buy them along with the Sub and the big nob.I need to go surround.I'll use the MR's as rear and the HR's as front.LFE will be the sub But i'm still wondering about the center.

you want to use the same type for the center as the other two in front.

  7. KRK V6 from a fellow three years or so ago selling to fund a pair of Neumann KH 420s. He had them up for auction and I got them for 271 bucks. I kind of felt for him but didn't offer to give him any more. Probably the best money I ever spent.

Technically yes.But i was wondering if i could use the Mackie XR824 just to try it out.On the other hand, if i want to be precise i'll have to use the same as the other 4

Tried them in a control room. The 8" has nice bass.

Pair of Behringer Truth B2031A's with the matched sub B2029A. The sub looks like a damn filing cabinet and weighs 99lbs. They're adequate enough, and the sub gets really low. Not as clear on the top as the pair of adams my friend has. But having the foot switchable sub that automatically enables the crossover is a nice feature. All 3 cost me a little over a $1000US Perfect for my hobby studio

These monitor are old, but (I think) they kick ass. I just got some acoustic stands for them. The sound is still amazing.....I just don't think I want to invest in anything new. These cost me around $1200 Canadian back in 2003

People think everything's so easy here and we have money, but the average Canadian is in over $22,000 in credit debt and we have taxes galore and since 85% of our food is imported, it's bloody expensive......you can get a big house in the US for 250,000, where as here, you're lucky to get a small condo!

    TG,

You can't buy a parking spot in LA or NY for $250,000.

I think you meant to say "in the redneck parts of the US for $250K you can get a big house.."

All in the interest of accuracy.

Same here since '97. Along with a pair of Autatone 5C's. Know your speakers, know your your room, no problem...

I use Amphions Two15's. Great speakers. As mixing tools, they are phenomenal. Use them for production also.

Adam F7. And I'm happy with how they sound, clear and detailed. Before that I had KRK Rockit 8 G2.

Trust and believe, you will NOT need a sub with the HR824MK2's. I had them and sold them on an impulse of frustration. One of the worst mistakes I've ever made.
