The best way - it's valid for most (99.9%) users here (or on the sister website) is to specify platform/DAW as comment in profile (or signature). IMO...

 

Be sure to check your downloads. It's a lot of shit coming down the pipeline. Don't just assume that the download didn't suffer a glitch or an interruption. Go back and check each file thoroughly. It will save you more time in the end to spend the time now... or you will be doing everything all over again! Not to mention flood your system with partial, corrupt file entities that will only serve to bog down your ENTIRE computer.

 

You can reinstall Omnisphere 2 over existing.
Also I precise the R2R patch works only on VST (x86 and x64) dll files, but it doesn't work on AAX / RTAS files.

 

That's because those doesn't need to be patched, they're just VST wrappers.
Just patch VST32/64 and you will get working AAX/RTAS as well.

The default location or the STEAM folder on my external?

Im running mac with OS X 10.10.2

I seem to be having some trouble and google isn't helping if anyone can help it would be appreciated
i have 8 discs mounted (1 r2r the others dynamics) when i go into installer it goes through fine except when i need to tell it where to install Steam library

Alert:
Failed to create folder:/wherever i point it to

i get the same alert when i let it go to the default location

anyone know what to do? thanks

It's regarding sounds which are safed with projects (e.g. Cubase): Do you (or someone else) checked if then all sounds of Omnisphere 1, with it's individual adjustments (!!!), will be load as it should?

 

does anyone know on a mac how to drag the STEAM folders on each disc together
i can almost solve the problem i have by dragging the first steam folder from d1 to where it is supposed to be but then it says failed to open output file and tries to scan
If i do it with just d1 mounted it says waiting for volume to be inserted but does not go away if i mount other discs.
i think this has to do with the steam folder not being complete. So what i want to do is make the steam folder complete then see if that will fix the initial setup.
I can't just drag the files from each steam folder either unfortunately.

anyone know what to do? If there is another thread pointing out what to do can you please show me it as i am getting lost with lots of different information one person says do one thing and another says do something else especially when its for a different os. the thread i had opened really upset people because i was asking for help which i know now was stupid I thought my problem was unique. i tried following the instructions from copylefted but when they don't work i don't know what to do? i apologise for my ignorance. i hope its ok to do this in this thread because it is about installation (sorry i don't know if its ok to ask for help or not)

They aren't only mad at you. And, this place is here for people to help each other. Ask your questions, make mistakes, do your best to follow the guidelines, and grow.

I'm using a MAC, but I'm not sure I understand your issue. Have you figured it out yet? If not, did you follow the installation steps that came with DVD1? You were supposed to install the library from each disc onto your computer. If you look up the STEAM folder, you can check to see if the file/folder sizes match what is on the DVDs. You don't want to try to drag them all there manually without installing them correctly.

If I have Omnisphere 1 already installed how i can install the omnisphere 2?
I need to delete some folder of the omnisphere 1 or the omnisphere 2 installation replace everything?
I'm on mac.

please I need some help! I have installed succesfully Omnisphere 2 from R2R-DYNAMiCS but when I go to Audio/Plug-Ins/VST or /Compponents I cannot find the respective files for each directory (omnisphere.vst and omnisphere.component). So I cannot patch them... When in installation process, I did not encounter any problem so I do not understand why this is happening. Any ideas?

Hey guys i'm having some trouble opening the Omnisphere 2 on my DAW Logic Pro X. I've installed all of the omnisphere disks (it said installation complete) after loading up all the disks. However, for some reason in Logic pro X Omnisphere 2 is not showing up in my AU instruments so i cannot open it. All the help with my troubles would be appreciated kind people, thank you so much! Omnisphere 2 VST, components, etc. are all in the right places when i check my library, so how can i fix this so that i see Omnisphere 2 in my logic pro x AU instruments so that i can open it in my DAW?

 

Does this happen to everyone using O2?

If I'm not mistaken, you're configuration is wrong. It should be "E:\Programas instlador\Spectrasonic\STEAM" and within the STEAM folder you'll have Omnisphere and Trilian folders then within these folders, the folders listed as above.

So many different versions of Omnisphere 2 installers/iso's, this method seems to be working so far. Kept getting a challenge/response hang up when trying to run after installing (not using your method). In terms of going through the updates of data/soundsources/patches: Which need to be installed consecutively so that I can get to the current version? I've "heard" that some of released updates for the aforementioned data/soundsources,etc can be skipped but wanted to make sure I was doing it the correct way, since your method here seems to be the ticket to getting v2.0 at least to work. I'm on Yosemite. Have PT10,PT11 (with licensed BlueCat Patchworx), Ableton 9.7 (32,64,) and Logic 10.2.4. TRULY APPRECIATE IT!
