Alright. i've had certain versions of maschine 2 (maybe 2.2/2.3? versions?) working with certain expansions, and remember having to set the plist files, correctly for them to work... it was a bundle of certain expansions, with the plist files included.

however, there's a ton of new expansions available now, and newer versions (2.4/2.4.7!) and wondering if anyone is able to make these work, on MAC OS X, using MASC 2.4 or 2.4.7, and several of the newer expansions working inside of it?

If so... is a plist issue? i've been trying and getting errors, even with the basic 7 gb maschine 2 library, not finding any sounds properly. EXP won't show at all, even with modified plist, using plist pro, to point to specific HD name (cuz it's not "Macintosh HD", it's something similar but slightly different....

Any help/ideas? Thanks so much in advance !

v2.4.7 working, with about about 31 EXP installed in shared folder, however only about 20 show up in the EXP areas, on the left...

didn't have to modify plist files for most of them... would a list of working/non-working EXP help? Thanks!

ALL Expansions work under OSX. You don't need .plists for that – especially if you don't use default locations and HDD name….

Here's the deal. Some Expansion are probably listed under the User Tab (Body Icon) and others will show up in the Factory Library Tab (World Icon) in the browser.

Here's why: if you did an uninstall/re-install or update of Maschine and rescan your Library/Samples, the Maschine Expansions found by the scan will be listed in the User Section. But if you install/re-install any Expansions AFTER installing Maschine, they will show up in the Factory Library Section. I don't know why it does it and I think it's really dumb, but that's how it is. Have a look at those sections and click on the Group part of those tabs as well.

Since I have Expansions installed on an extra HD, I just add the Link to that to Maschine's user Library and rescan it after installing new Expansions, so everything is listed under the user Tab.

    ok...

moved all MASC EXP libraries to seperate drive (left original MASC 2 Library in Shared folder).
erased all custom-modified MASC EXP .plist files in user's folder, leaving only original Maschine and factory content .plist files in place.
    - - although, it seems the custom .plist thing was making those ones work.... ?!?
re-started (to empty trash of erased .plist files from EXP's).
re-opened maschine, and set new user library to new EXP folder, on separate hd.
Maschine will scan them, and then... nothing shows up in the samples/effects/projects/ tabs :(

was gonna re-install maschine then re-install all EXP...

then i realized, "world" and "body" icons... two different sets of tabs!

you're right, putting ALL EXP's in one folder on separate HD, w one folder linked under User LIbraries and rescan..

boom, there are all 30+ expansions!

    amazing. thanks 5teezo!!!
