  2. A towel works as a cover, and take heed to what mercurysoto says about taking those monitors apart. I just took apart one of my harmonicas yesterday to give it a thorough cleaning and I put it together all wrong. Now the draw notes are blow notes and I cannot bend any of the notes now whatsoever. LOL. I can go back to fix my stupidity, but monitors are another animal all together.

Instead of using rubbing alcohol as a cleaning agent I found what works better is vinegar and a little water. I was experiencing the alcohol leaving too much deposites and stripping away finishes off of some surfaces. I am too much of a doofus to take apart my keyboard and just know that I will reenact my harmonica debacle so I just dust it with my vinegar and water mix and turn it upside down and shake out the funk. It works for me. Shake your funky thang!

Ok. Not a pet owner here but as wiki says, half of the human race is infected of that and has almost no symptoms. Why should i be afraid of it?

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a joke.. or wot...

I usually only dust my monitors off, so this is food for consideration

thanks Superliquid.. after perusing your cautionary tale.. I shall refrain from ever taking apart my harmonica now..
perhaps I will consult with you at a future date if you confirm success !

Alas, my monitors are constantly befouled by running my own music through them, so I'm not one to comment.

Can cause srs joint pain (not good for producers )= schizophrenia and cysts in ur brain. Linked 2 issues w/ neuro development in children / teens. Also high risk of miscarriage and severe neurological disease, if infected during pregnancy. It alters behavior in the host; apprently the "crazy cat lady" collector thing is because of toxiplasmosis, which is @ about 22% rate (estimated) in the USA. But those kittens look sooooo cute! I guess that explains why it's so widespread!

  10. Actually, it's a really great idea to take apart your harmonica and clean it up from time to time. I only took off the covers of my great Seydel Noble knowing full well that if I did anymore that I would mess it up completely like I did with the Blues Harp. I play the Seydel at least an hour a day while out and about with Marley the little pooch we have as well as an hour or so when I give a weekly lesson. It was fairly funky and even with not cleaning the comb and reed plates on the inside, the harp sounds more powerful and robust. I have a huge problem visualizing 3 dimensional things after an abdominal surgery 20 years ago. I cannot figure out for example how to set up a patch bay and a Rubics Cube which pre-anesthesia was a piece of cake is more like trying to climb Mt. Everest in a flip-flops. I am sure you would have no problem doing a thorough cleaning. I am a bit hindered but have full confidence in your ability to conquer where I have failed to do so.

It's simple. When it's dirty you throw it and you buy a new one well clean.

  14. Why would I need to clean the inside of my monitors? I do however blow dust off of the woofers and tweeters from time to time though. Ponderous this one is, a mystery waiting to be uncovered.
