How To Prevent Quantize When Duplicating a Sample or Note ?

    Hey there,

    when writing drums, i like to have a swing to it & the note is intentionally not directly on time (video example below)

    When i duplicate it (by drag + option on mac), S1 automatically quantizes the new note. I don't want it to be Quantized. when duplicating, I want to retain the notes position (off beat)

    I have a video clip of Ableton Live 9 executing exactly what i'm trying to achieve, then the issue I have with S1... how can i do it like Live 9 ?

    Ideally, i want to do this move with a mouse. Not with the duplicate shortcut key. Also, i'd like to be able to achieve this in piano roll too if possible

    Change your snap-to-grid setting to "relative"

    Go to 2:30 in this video.
