Isn't it possible to use Omnisphere 2 without banks like a synth?

I've downloaded only the install and steam files of Omnisphere but can't get any sound of it. Do I need the other big iso files?

Have u tried 2 open Omni, click on "A" button, click "synth" & try 2 load an OSC? If u got Saw / Tri / Square stuff, then u can do synthesis!

If not, u can (if avail) just try dl "wavetables" folder thing alone & put it in STEAM/Omnisphere folder. It's only ~1.25G, and will give u access 2 loads of "classic" synth OSC, although no standard saw etcs, bummer =(

I know that u can import ur own .wav files, so maybe u can use the granular thing while u wait 4 rest 2 dl? =D

I downloaded some banks they kept giving me error. I don't think I can just randomly download the ones I need. So byebye Omnisphere I guess.

Yeah, just thought u could pretend like it's 2006 and find a torrent w/ the folder or smthn. U can dl just teh "wavetables" thing & use, just tried it. If u got a friend w/ it, ask them 2 send it 2 ur Drive / whatev?

It is worth dl full thing, tho, guess it kinda falls into essential maybe even classic synth cat?
