For the sake of consistency, I’ll call this plugin Limitator for now. I expect your ideas to be better than that. Limitator is is a brick wall limiter designed with one thing in mind: Make your mixes loud without screwing up your mix. No matter what side of the loudness wars you’ve decided to plant yourself on, the need to make mixes loud for clients isn’t going away any time soon.

But nothing drives me more nuts than listening to all my hard work turn to garbage when pushing the mix loud. That’s why we made this plugin. We wanted a mastering limiter that lets you push your mixes loud and still keep the punch in your drums and keep your tonality intact. We’ve been working on this one for a long time, and we’re finally ready to let it loose.

It appears their decent UI designer has ran away or gone tits up... good grief.

 

True! UI Design looks very poor. Manic Compressor has also an ugly UI.
+10db and Imperial Delay have the best design of the BOZ-Line.
Limitator isn't a good name i.m.o. it sounds like they have no fantasy + imagination @ all!

I've seen so many great names in the proposals. The Wall is kind of... meh! Just like the plugin's GUI.

 

I had a feeling the name would be somehow Pink Floyd related, I even suggested Another Brick as a joke name. Yet they went too far and took it a bit too ssseriously, ha? "The Wall" smells like a ripoff name. And GUI is something hurriedly cobbled together in Synthedit in 2002. But the big question is - does it sound any good? And instead of a proper demo, we get a shitty Trump speech. Well done, BOZ, well done. Human genius was never on this level.

A lot of people have emailed asking to at least be able to hear The Wall in action before deciding to pre-order it. So I made a quick and dirty walkthrough video to give you an idea of what this plugin is about, and hopefully help you make a more informed decision.

We wanted to have the cake and eat it, too. It just doesn't work that way. That's why I always backup my masters as non-limited.

I suggest the name "Bricked", or "BrickIt", because that's how I feel about it when I have to make it loud and lifeless.

 

Not much interest in Boz... or another limiter... but I appreciate you following up on these things

btw if you guys want that loudness matching function without buying the Wall, I believe the free Melda MAGC does it.
