So i just got maschine not to long ago. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to hear the samples as im entering the midi. Like you can in abelton by hitting the headphone icon in the midi edit.

When you're in the sample browser you get a speaker icon and a slider on the bottom left of your screen. Turn on the speaker to pre-hear samples and adjust the slider for volume. If you have the Studio you can also use the Cue button and the volume knob.

That does not seem to be working.

    What samples can't you hear?
Where in the software are you when you say "entering the midi"?

Yes. Button 4 should be labeled Prehear when browsing Sounds/Samples.

You can also use Autoload to replace samples as your pattern is playing. It's the circular icon to the left of the speaker icon.

So if i load up the 808 kit for example then insert a clip and im in the piano roll and i place a kick on a c i want to be able to hear the sample retrigger as i move the midi from c to d or any other note up or down as i drag it to said note.

You have to enter Pad Mode on the controller and use the pads or use those tiny piano roll keys in the software.
