I need expert analysis (or someone who knows what he's talking about) about this mixes especially the first.
When i try to mixe my kicks, they aren't so powerful and punchy like on these mixes.

but basic tips are compress the kick, cut the very lows so it doesnt crash with the bass
and maybe a little sidechain

 

Well first things first u gotta find a kick adn 808 samples that are as good as these ones. The kick and 808 are layered, so make sure they are compatible. Make sure that the kick is short and snappy to avoid phase cancellation with the 808. Side chain or volume automate the 808 until it sounds like the kick and 808 can breath together. Use a bit of distortion on the 808. As counter intuitive as this might sound, the kick and 808 are significantly louder then everything else on this mix. So that's exactly what you have to do.

 

buy a good sample kit,

add a 808, preferably a kontakt libary, decently saturated to keep it simple

done

 

Watch this.
It's not the exact sound you were looking for but better still it will teach you how to obtain it AND how to layer and detune drums in the future.
