I like the style! but I also feel there are some consistency issues between the elements of your track.

Keep working on it, add some vocals and I'm sure you'll be back here with a really nice tune. Best of Luck!

That track is cool but the vocals are really important in that kind of music... So... It's hard to say it's good or it's bad ! But it's potentially good for sure ;)

I'd agree with this. I wouldn't criticize your playing, as you are a much better guitar player than I am. Maybe revisit a few of the compositional elements. To my ear there are only one or two that are possibly out of sync.

 

i completly agree with jessycd, thank you for actually playing instruments...

as for the song, great riff. reminds me of a band called Green, the feel of it. i'd say you got something good if you spiced up the intro, although i like how it goes into the main riff, maybe shorten it in half. and put a proper bridge in there instead of the breakdown at the 2:17 or so mark, as it it gets repetitive.

keep on it though, as "you might have something here"

I did copy and paste a couple of parts. I'll have to go back and fine-tune their placement.

Some of the drum parts have a different reverb setting too. I'll have to fix those.

Who's up for doing the vocals when I finish the lyrics and put a demo track down?

I can't sing for sh*t.

PS One Reason - I didn't realize it, but you're right about the Tom Petty sound.
