I recently installed the latest release of Kontakt 5.0.1
however when I tried to load the Ilya Efimov Nylon Guitar released a while ago (not the Acoustic Guitar released yesterday)
the GUI doesn't show up correctly.


Does anyone know why? I thought Kontakt 5 is supposed to be backward compatible..

 

maybe it's for kontakt 4.2.2 assign

 

U need to do the install that came with it If I remember correctly, that adds the GUI graphics to the library.

 

You have to install gui from gui exe file(if on PC).
If you already did that then find Kontakt 4 pictures folder (in my documents) and copy files to kontakt 5 pictures (or images)folder.

Short explanation for WIN XP (don`t like WIN 7 / don`t have MAC)
By default (PC version) installer uses directory: C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\My Documents\Native Instruments\Kontakt 4\pictures\IE_NG
Don`t forget to move installed files to: C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\My Documents\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\pictures\IE_NG

Ilya Efimov Acoustic Guitar KONTAKT / AudioP2P / 5.11.2011
Unlike the IE Nylon Guitar lib. which need additional GUI installer, the Ilya Efimov Acoustic Guitar KONTAKT / AudioP2P / 5.11.2011 has ".nkr" file which contains all additional pictures for GUI, so no need to use any installers at all.

 

So it is useless for Kontakt 5 right?

But I can't load it in Kontakt 4.2.3, I've tried the exe you have posted but Kontakt 4 give me error!

I actually ran the .pkg file for the mac and once installed, I went to the user/documents/Native instruments/Kontakt 4/Ilya folder and copied the pictures folder for Ilya into my Kontakt 5 folder within the same path previous mentioned. Once I ran Kontakt 5 again, it all looks the way it should. This is possibly the best Nylon Guitar ever. This is on my Chritmas List, i would just like to try out the Strum First.

don't bother, this lib sucks. it has tons of flubbed notes, poor sample editing, no normalization, noise in some samples, and tons of fretbuzz. even some of the lower velocity layers have fretbuzz because the fucking idiot who recorded this didn't do it right. he recorded almost all samples with just about the same volume gain, instead of recording the lower velocity samples at a lower gain, and everything sounds odd because of it.

glad i didn't buy this piece of crap, or i'd be pissed. even for free this thing isn't good enough to keep. i deleted it, and the other guitar by this idiot ilya too.

 

Does anyone have those links for Acousitc Guitar from Ilya Efimov? they've cleaned up the dead links from audioz and can't find them nowhere on the net, except the Mac version..
