Sample Search Competition Announced

At Sample Magic we spend our days making the world’s best samples so that producers can make chart-hitting tracks, whether it be house, techno, dubstep, chillout, minimal, progressive or any other electronic genre.

This never-ending quest to find the world's best sounds has led us to create the Sample Magic Sample Search.

We aim to seek out – and reward – the best up-and-coming sound designers across all genres with a bumper selection of prizes worth £500.

Prizes include a Korg Monotron hardware synth, £250 of Sample Magic products (including sample CDs, books and apps), plus clothing and compilation CDs from Defected and Hed Kandi Records.

How to enter

Simply send us a 30MB zip file containing a mixture of 2-bar loops and one-shots that showcase your sound design talent.

Please ensure that all sounds are submitted as 44.1kHz 24-bit Wav files and that all sounds are 100% copyright free.

Make sure you include your full name and contact details within your entry.

To submit your sounds, upload the zip file via www.wetransfer.com and send the download link to [email protected]

Entries not submitted in this format will not be judged.

Winners will be announced in August's issue of DJ Mag and online at www.samplemagic.com

Closing date for entries is 31st July.
