So far i have only heard the kit from one YT video but just from one example played on a midi keyboard i can tell these are one of the best,most realistic VST drums i have heard,very dynamic sounding.
Every VST kit has a flaw,its either the cymbals or toms that are weak,but here everything behaves like it should.
I am really impressed.
Any one tried it?

i bet its still 75 gbs of pure boring sounds , that no one will really use , and if they do it will be run through fx , right , defeating the purpose ...

Well for those EZdrummer is enough.
But this sounds tight and alive,reminds me of the billy idol drum kit ,live and on some albums lately released,has a lot of punch.

 

if you are reffering to the upload on another site its completly wrong posted , as this uploader wants you to belive:

that it is Platinum HD (which is wrong , HD are Harddrive which you can not buy anymore since an very long time) , release are Platinum

second the uploader used this very old shop link bhphotovideo to let you think that it costs 995 dollar (it was many many years ago)

this one was on sale from esoundz on black friday and from few weeks ago and sale price was 119 Dollar .

so you can take you own conclusion why this uploader have made it this way .

It does sound nice.
I honestly don't think it's worth that price tag.
I can construct very similar kits in Kontakt, Live, Battery, Geist and/or Maschine.
It's all velocity layers, round-robin samples, LP filters, bit-reduction and EQ.

They are beautiful sounding kits though.

I have a real Tama Superstar kit from the 80s. Single headed toms, Birch shells with mahogany finish, Tama Superstar Mastercraft Artwood Birch Inlay Snare. I used them long ago, they sound great and were leased to a studio complex that I worked at when they were new. I know how to make these drums sound fantastic in an analogue studio. They were used on thousands of recordings.

My Question? How would I turn them into something I could use within a vsti, do I need a Kontakt scripter? ect......

If you have any experience in this area, Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

For quick and easy kit constuction, map the samples to pads in Battery and use it's envelopes and FX.

For a more detailed kit, read up on Group Editing and Mapping in the Kontakt User Manual and you'll achieve even more.

 

Thanks Pinkman, Do you know of someone that knows Kontakt that well, I would Like to have it realistic and useable as possible. I already know how to sample one shots. I was also wondering if there would be a market for a product like this? I see things like this on the sister site all the time. If I would do this it would be in nice studio with quality hardware, vintage mic's and useable MIDI grooves.
