    Hey,

I had an UAD Apollo Twin solo and just bought the Zen Tour. First impression : the result is so different. I tested it on an actual cubase project, the rendering is really more neutral compared to the Apollo, is it normal ? Should i trust the rendering of this audio interface for my own pre-mix ?
I listen with 2 Adam A7x and a HD700 Sennheiser. I was thinking about my monitors (Adam a7x), if it would be the same if i change like for a Barefoot MM35 monitors pair... What do you think ?

I would hope it somehow sounds better.. at more than 2x the price of the solo !! :wow:

enjoy it m8.. and post some comparisons if you have time..
would be cool to see if we can tell the A/B difference in renderings

I can't comment more.. because this is actually the first time I have seen this interface...
seems you are at the cutting edge already..

The rendering is amazingly different / better (i think) than the UAD apollo twin. It seems that it shows a more accurate result from what i've mixed on my project. The UAD put everything "more beautiful" (sorry for my english i'm not fluent), the Antelope shows at a neutral view. I can hear that i have way too much reverb (what i didn't see before), the keys sounds like sh*t, to resume everything sounds like sh*t hahaha.
I heard that the Zen tour is new from 2 monthes.
I'm looking for new monitors, because i think it would be the same result. Imagine Adam A7x changing with a Barefoot MicroMain45... it's logical to go in this way

If its as good as Behringer ufo202 then it really is a bargain.

if it renders accurately, then I suppose "accurate" monitors would accurately render the accurateness of your renderings

Do not expect less from Herr Durr...
I am curious about the FX... I saw that only have EQs and guitar amps, but how many instances you could use?

  8. Go for the Barefoot MicroMain45 monitors. I was pondering selling my daughter to fund a pair myself.

BF MM45's £5,292.00 !! I'll buy a pair in my next life... I saw through the wormhole.. and I'll be wolf on Wall Street

@Von_Steyr I think you may have revealed the most hideous Behringer product ever conceived... bravo !

edit.. I think I may have read a few words about the Antelope model before,
but when I saw the MSRP it was immediately deferred from consideration

    congrats on living large @adrien
at least give us your extensive review after you have produced on this beast for a while

Only God can hear the difference between modern converters. Ethan Winer put this myth to rest a few years ago at an AES convention with an ABX 30X sound blaster rerender vs Apogees top of the line converters. I'll get flack for saying this, but people will always believe if it's expensive it's must be better. Hey, I own an Apogee Symphony an Apollo Twin and a Motu 828MKIII. So I'm not biased. I would love for someone to post audio examples of a Zen modded and a stock Apollo Twin.

I have no idea what the barefoots sound like, but since you're wanting to upgrade your monitors, consider Amphions. They fit the whole "accurate" thing you're looking for. Very detailed. I own the Two15's ,which I saved up a couple years to get (owned rokits previously). Factor in the amp (passive design) and you're at the same price range ballpark. Congrats on your new gear!

Thats a good specs interface! And probably less "colored" than the Apollo.. I never listen to Barefoots (curious tho).. But for that price you can buy the Focal SM9 and be done with monitor searching.. The best monitors I ever heard! Keep your new findings coming! Cheers
