    Update...Solved

Use these Step By Step Instructions In Bold...
I do not take credit for this..

    Uninstall all previous waves installations

No need to clear registry...just delete old waves vst folder

Install (Assigns Version Repack) plugins in separate directory...(say \steinberg\vstplugins\waves 9....)

ie: Create a new directory called "Waves 9" under "C:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins"

Copy the shell2vst.exe to the newly created directory above (where there is waveshell file is located)

Rightclick on shell2vst.exe and select run as administrator

Drag & Drop the waveshell file onto the shell2vst file

A folder named waves will be created there..

Open Studio One, add the new waves plugins path directory and scan.... Done..

    My Problem Was...

I have Win XP 32 Bit..

Just started using Waves v9 and if any of you S1 Users have this Issue in your 32 Bit System with Assigns version of
Waves v9... the Kramer Tape VST2 and some other W9 Plugs always crashes Studio One v2.04

Iv'e Google and tried to fix this on my own for a while with know luck..

If you had this problem or you may know how to fix this I would be so grateful to help me for future use...

Note:...The waves 9 were tested in Reaper with know problems but my primary DAWS is S1...

I havent installed v9 yet , but v8 works fine with no probs , tbh i dont know what the difference is between v8 and v9 , besides it being 64bit ..
if your using 32bit maybe go back to v8 , it works fine for me in S1 2.5 , but im on win 7 .....

    Here and there.
Forget those DAW's for hobbyists.....Reaper, Studio One etc.
Even Digital Performer 7 crashes always [due to cracked VST plug-ins].
LOGIC crashes are very, very seldom but this one has some bugs too.

There is no perfect DAW existing.

ah wow, Waves 9 ... does it make my music / life better?
isn't it kinda stressful always to have the newest version of it?

    sorry for being "off"-topic.

OK WAVES 9 installing and recog for Studio One 2(.04) Step by Step

    1. if You already installing Waves 8 or early Versions, You must clean registry all keys and characters WAVES early versions.

    2. restart Your Windows

    3. Installing WAVES 9 Assign (Re-Release)

    4. Select Plugins You Need, add or no need 2 Lite versions you demand.

    5. press OK and you 're wait install complete normally.

    6. restart Your Windows.

    7. delete VST3 Waves plug Shell.( from %your programfiles dir%\Common Files\VST3 )

Assign set one trap here. They made a crack of only VST2.
However, installer from assign is installed normal in VST2, VST3 and RTAS.
Maybe Cubase family and Studio One now that it can use VST3 plug ins

You are not usable if you do not delete plug in of VST3.

In other words this release is not usable if I do not evade this trap.
Therefore, the many-people who do not know this information cannot use this plug in.
It is only VST2 and understands a thing if I think about a release name.

    8. Start Studio One experimentally at this point in time.

It is success if Studio One Start Up Screen recognize plug in shell 9.0 not to start in VST3-Shell.

    9. If an error was given on Studio One Start Up Screen. You prepare plug in using shell2vst from WAVES9 Assign Installer

10.All VST2 plugs Shell2VST move to "VSTPlugins" folder and there is "WaveShell-VST 9.0.dll" on same directory (tipically VSTPlugins/WAVES/) set with your PC.

My having gone to here. But I want you to try it in various ways because your PC is not my PC.

    Is this all right?

    have you still error???

mmmm, do your have an internet connection from Studio One?

(sound cloud or undaters and news feed directly Studio One application?)

and d'you have a Melodyne single track editor?

if sound cloud direct connect on Studio One or
web updaters connects on Presonrs Server or
news feed recived and displayed on Startup Screen or
    Melodyne Single Track installed?

Clear this solution is an install firewall and Cut internet connection rule every application for

    Studio One.exe
    Melodyne singletrack.exe

    213.196.90.86 TCP/IN OUT.

    and Studio One 2 Preference File (C:\Documents and Settings\---your name---\Application Data\PreSonus\Studio One 2)

delete *.settings and, re-create setting file (startup and configlattion).

    try.

Try updating your video card drivers to the latest. I've found a few threads on different forums talking about this. One guy even said that waves support suggested he update his video card drivers, and it solved his crash problems w/ v9. If I remember correctly he was using an nvidia 7700 GS or something close to that.

I'm also crashing in a legit copy of Studio One V2 when I try to enter in values with Waves plugins. Although, it seems to be at random and doesn't always happen. I think double clicking the volume knob to enter a value might be a problem. I've also had problems spinning knobs or pulling levers on waves plugins while the song is playing and it crashing. I've had it crash dragging waves plugins onto tracks. I don't know how long its been since I've updated my GFX card drivers, so i suppose its about time. Its probably the issue for me too. Never had any issues with V7 or V8.

Good luck! I'll probably get around to updating mine tomorrow, so I will check back in with my findings.

    Not at all :wow: .
VST3 are also cracked and there is no trap. Which version will appears only depends on the DAW you're using. With Cubase, you will be able to use VST2, but only if you delete WaveShell-VST3 9.0.
That means both are well cracked but can not live toegether.
BTW, NLS is working flawlessly and is already available... somewhere :headbang: ...

No No.. I'm now blowing you...and come to think of it, Yes I did update my video card drivers..

Right now I'm just back to Waves V8 and everything is fine with waves v8 and S1..

However I got this step by step from another site..

This Assign re-release Waves v9 that also come with the shell2vst.exe Tool..

    Uninstall all previous waves installations

No need to clear registry...just delete old waves vst folder

    Re-install plugins in separate directory...(say \steinberg\vstplugins\waves 9....)

ie: Create a new directory called "Waves 9" under "C:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins"

I might try or even anybody else could use this Step By Step
