Anyone aware of any spectral analysis Audio Unit plugins? DAW integration (via AU plugin) is a must, I'm not looking for standalone apps. I'm using LPX, if that makes a difference.

    Vielen Dank

MAnalyzer is an advanced spectral analyzer and sonogram containing unique features such as smoothing, normalization, super-resolution, prefiltering and deharmonization. The included meters provide a peak meter and EBU R128 and ITU-R BS 1770-3 compliant loudness meter.

It is included in the MeldaProductions free bundle.

Great! iZotope Insight fits my needs. Thanks!

If iZotope RX modules (as plugins) bring the spectral analyzer with them, I don't know how to view it.

Thank you for these suggestions, but both are spectrum analyzers.

Thanks. I forgot about what they call 'sonogram' view. Is there a way to rotate it 90° CCW so that it scrolls horizontally instead of vertically? I can think of instances in which vertical scrolling would be useful, but it's not what I'm accustomed to.

You don't understand. I was asking about spectrAL analyzers. Those are both spectrUM analyzers.

    Seems that (krameri defines):

Spectrum analyzer: 1D graph + time
Spectral analyzer: 2D plot + time

Really, in a mix, I only use Spectrum analyzer. Spectral is only useful for mastering imo.

Logic has one right built in it's called Multimeter and it's pretty versatile. Then there is also Voxengo Span and IK Multimedia TR Meter (which I like a lot). They are both free. TR Meter requires a user account at IK Multimedia, though.

As far as Spectral Analysis is concerned that's only useful in offline work, when openeing an audio file you are trying to fix issues, not in realtime. When removing frequencies and harmronics out of the spectrum like in audio restoration. I'd get iZotope RX, Adobe Audiotion or Sony Spectral layers for that

You guys are intelligent and I mean no disrespect with this, but some of these replies are silly. I'm surprised to see so many replies in this forum based on needless assumptions. I didn't specify my use for real-time spectral analysis because I didn't foresee it as a necessity to keep the replies from straying so wildly. To illustrate that point... and this is gonna be a Homer Simpson D'oh! moment for you, whether you want to admit it or not: I'm studying interactions when combining multiple sources of... here it is... spectral resynthesis (additionally, outside of most peoples' audible frequency range). I was bouncing, then opening the files in standalone apps, which was very time-consuming. After one of the replies here pointed me to iZotope Insight, I can now view the effect of real-time control changes and I bounce only the ones significant to my project. You understand that suggesting I use my ears isn't helpful, that stereo image, audio restoration, mastering, etc. etc. aren't the only uses for spectral analysis, and that there really is a use for viewing it in real-time.

DMG Dualism has a 2D and 3D spectograph, highly configurable (you can choos color scheme, which direction it goes and a lot more), you can view both at the same time or any of the many analysers available in it : oscilloscope, fft analyser, 1/N octave, lissajous, phase meter, loudness meter and history, RMS analyser, tuner, you name it. You can put instances in the tracks then view them in your master instance compare them, choose several for comparaisons purposes, etc. There are two visiualisation windows, you can enlarge them, view them in full screen.
And it's also a stereo tool, a great one at that.

Thank you kindly. I've seen the plugin, but didn't know it was so capable.
