For the drums, I used Nexus2's "Apres Ski" expansion & then there is steinberg's Groove Agent kit called "Buckle up". For the synths, I used Nexus2, Zebra2, Sylenth 3, & reveal sound spire. There is only one instance of the last 3 synths, everything else is Nexus2 with a little bit of editing & a shit load of processing & added effects via plugins like UAD Dreamverb & Toontrack EZMix. I'd say synthwise, I use nexus2 way too much but I usually don't use bare presets from them. I edit them all with what little editing possibilities there are in the interface itself. But Nexus2 isn't even a synth, it's a rompler.
That's funny because I literally have more supporters in the UK than I do in the US. Lmao

IMO from what i've heard, you should be at least second. Your song arrangement and selection of sounds that work together and are not boring is best. Congratulation!

Hate to resurrect a dead thread here but...
I logged onto SoundCloud today to see that this song just recently hit 1,000 plays. Now 1,000 plays in almost 2 years isn't a lot but I never had one of my songs hit 1,000 plays until now. This is pretty huge for me in any timeframe.
This is also still my favorite song I ever wrote. Strangely enough, it's also the most accidental song I ever wrote. Everything in this song really just kinda wrote itself. The whole thing wrote itself from the ground up. It started with a rather colorful chord progression (A/D Em11 D/G Bm7) and then everything else fell into place through shutting off my head and letting the chords and melodies write themselves thru improvisation.
This song also ranked high in a couple of other contests and also won me some quick money. I have since made a remastered and quality-improved version of this song but have yet to put it out. It's funny because I think back now at everything I been through both physically and emotionally since I wrote this song, and all I can say is I'm pretty lucky to be alive. :chilling:

Cheers and phat props to all who support my music. You the real MVP :hug:

  18. Congratulations on cracking your milli cherry...and as well, staying alive long enough to enjoy it, it's a pleasure to have you on board.
