Orange Tree recently had a song contest for using their libraries. I used Strawberry & won an exclusive product.
Here was my submission:


There is some live guitar as well as one use of Strawberry which is hidden in there behind all the synths but it's still very audible.
I came in 3rd place!!
In return I received an unreleased library for free as well as a couple hundred orange slices!
This may not be a big deal to some folks, but it is to me, considering I don't have a huge following. My music doesn't always resonate great with the masses so little victories like these are pretty huge for me. Mainstream/radio potential? No. Everyone's cup of tea? Definitely not. But that don't stop me from feeling accomplished in things like these. Sure, it's not 2nd or 1st place - but I still did better than I expected - and that means a lot to me.
I'm gonna treat myself to a few cold drinks tonight for this simple matter.

Is this an overreaction? Yeah probably. Hey! This was pretty exciting for me!!
And lastly, I'm definitely gonna buy that Rickenbacker 12 library when it comes out.

Edit 02/10/2018: Took out some of my jokes because they were pretty outrageous. Newer, younger members may not understand. I forgot how outrageous and aggressive my sense of humor was 2 years ago

I know what one contest participant feels when he/she becomes part of top 5 because I used to make music for such events and never got such good ranking.
