So yesterday I was looking to purchase the Izotope Creative Bundle on PluginBoutique thats on sale and I noticed something strange. When I updated my earned tokens to virtual cash to use toward my purchase, the price of the plugin bundle increased by roughly the amount of virtual cash I have. Kinda defeats the purpose of an incentive system if you're just going to raise the price of the item :/

Anyone experience this before? I sent them a note with a screen grab of the price before and after so hopefully I'll hear back.

I can't say for sure, but many retailers don't allow customers to use more than one discount per purchase. Perhaps the price seems to increase because the first discount is being negated before applying the second. You could check it with a calculator pretty quickly, or you could find the rules for using the tokens to see if they can only be used to discount non-sale prices.

Yeah, I think thats whats happening. Funny thing is, its actually about $20 more expensive now than it was before. So that basically means I would have to spend all my virtual cash just to get the same price I would have if I had never converted my tokens in the first place. Kinda sucks really... personally, I think its a bit sheisty :/

It has happened to me too. i recorded the whole procedure using camtasia along with screen captures and sent them. No news. And at the moment, i can't use paypal... it always shuts me down. Severe glitches in their system. I'm switching to JRR shop if nothing happens soon.

    Oh damn, thats crazy :woot:

Well hey, if its any help, I got on their live chat and talked to sales support and they explained that the price change is based on the current exchange rate. Seems like a huge jump from one minute to the next though so not sure if thats entirely true but they did hook me up with a %5 discount to make up for it.

I do like shopping there. Its the first time anything like that has happened and I purchased a lot of plugins through them. A lot of their sales are hard to beat and I've always been pretty happy dealing with them.

Yes their website is great and the support is cool BUT that story still does not stick. If i pay using dollars, there's still a conversion process increasing prices... Who needs a dollar to dollar conversion?
