My journey. Installed Windows10 when it came out, used O&O Shutup to disable stuff I didn't want, installed Classic Shell to get a blend between XP style and Win7 style startmenu, everything running fine and smooth since then and I'm perfectly happy with using it.

Reaper and StudioOne run perfectly and no issues with my plugins, the same for my graphics software (photoshop/premiere/afterfx).

Microsoft Edge? Didn't see it don't even know where to find it.
Multiple UI's? The settings are split up between 'settings app' and the old-style 'control panel', but since I always use the search box I don't have any issues with this. For all the other parts I see a normal Windows desktop and no signs of any 'other UIs'.
Special updates and upgrades get postponed for two months, so if a wrong update gets pushed I don't get it till it's fixed. I don't get automatic driver updates forced upon me. I don't have a Bing searchbar (or any searchbar at all in the OS for that matter, only Classic Shell), I don't have Cortana, I don't have any Windows Store and I don't have to use a Microsoft account.

Stuff seems just as Windows7 but runs and starts faster, I don't see what's wrong with it.

Do you run whatever OS you use without optimizing it to your need? If not, then you must learn to do it.
When I was on 7 I used to disable many features like security centre, many services, aero glass and many more. Same thing I am doing on windows 10. I dont think there is any problem in it. Just removing the stuff I dont need. If you guys think core of windows 10 is same as windows 7, I can only laugh on you.
Not trying to recommend anything because you wont even try to understand. You think you have privacy while using Internet? Haha..
I am using Windows 10. I am having a better experience (Performance wise).

What's so hard? Install Windows 10, go. It's done. It will install your freaking drivers by itself unlike Win7. It runs even smoother than Windows 7 out of the box - let it sit for 5 minutes, prepare yourself a cup of coffee, return and you have all your drivers set up ready to go. What hours are you talking about? You don't need classic shell, you don't need to disable telemetry or other stuff. Just do what you need to do and stop whining.

Try compatibility mode - win 7 or win 8. Sometimes it works on drivers.

No whinning here. I have a performant OS one of the best you can get right now to make music. I have been using it for years. This one does take a minute to install and optimise with no spy included, no driver malfunction, no bad surprise. I start the install, prepare a coffee and 5 to 10 minutes later when both the install and the coffee are done, I drink it while making music, not looking online how to have an OS that can run all my vsts, my hardware, withtout giving me the compatibility mode hell hole Windows 10 users seem to be fans of. My OS doesn't need 12 pages long forum debates to convince it's a good OS : it just does the job.
It's not pretty, pretty, there is no flashy light and tablet design, but it's a very performant working OS.
But yeah good luck selling your junk, which you defend like it's the Holy Grail, which makes me wonder who you work for...

hope your words become future of mine...

Look man, you got it all wrong. No one is saying nobody to upgrade, at least I am not.
Do you know google and apple spied you before microsoft?
Have you ever thought why and what they are spying and is it going to effect a person or not?
I am not defending windows 10 because of microsoft, I am defending it because I am using it without any problems and less hassle than windows 7. It'll become necessary to upgrade in few years when there will be no support available for windows 7.

    Both does the job :deep_facepalm:.

Mr Bill and Sadowick are using Windows 10. And making sick music with it. I dont care which OS you think is better. But Windows 10 can do anything that Windows 7 can do. If you say, for music production, this OS is better than that or this DAW is batter than that, then you are the joker here.

Yes, you can make music in Windows 10, period.

Both worked for me this morning!

    ----------------------------------------------------
I'm all for the scientific approach of actually running the experiment, but I would have imaged my boot drive, such that I could just format and reinstall Win7.

You don't always have to test for yourself things like jumping off a tall building, or will a crocodile eat me if I say hello, or will the tiger rip my arm off if I just want to pet it thru the fence.

If you missed it from before:

So forget about just getting it "working" what are you gonna do about being someone's digital sex slave?

Edward Snowden: "Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say" [13]

Richard Graham, the MP for Gloucester, was addressing the House of Commons on the draft Investigatory Powers Bill when he said that "if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear". --quoting Joseph Goebbels.

Emilio Mordini, philosopher and psychoanalyst, argued that the "nothing to hide" argument is inherently paradoxical. People do not need to have "something to hide" in order to hide "something". What is relevant is not what is hidden, rather the experience that there is a intimate area, which could be hidden, whose access could be restricted. Psychologically speaking, we become individuals through the discovery that we could hide something to others.[17]

Julian Assange states: "There is no killer answer yet. Jacob Appelbaum (@ioerror) has a clever response, asking people who say this to then hand him their phone unlocked and pull down their pants. My version of that is to say, 'well, if you're so boring then we shouldn't be talking to you, and neither should anyone else', but philosophically, the real answer is this: Mass surveillance is a mass structural change. When society goes bad, it's going to take you with it, even if you are the blandest person on earth."[18]
    .
    .
    .
β€œIt would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and a psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. They are mere words, and words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise.”
    ― Joseph Goebbels

@jeffglobal so what? Bitching about Windows 10 on a warez forum isn't exactly the best way to change things, you know?

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Albert Einstein
    Read more at: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/a/alberteins133991.html

I'm ready for Revolution, I'm just waiting for everyone else to catch the fk up, or watch them try the same things in a rigged system (that includes you guys in UKistan and the EUistans) and be slaughtered while I watch on my computer, drinking beer and eating chips. GEEZus Christ, @Drquacky. Haven't you heard of the "butterfly affect?" I hear talk show hosts parrot comments I put on news sites alot. It was freaky the first couple times. I had to google search the sentences to verify stuff like that wasn't said that way before...You never know @Drquacky. At the same time, I like changing my avatar to different cat pics, cause I always like to work with pussy. Simple things, @Drquacky. The world is about as hot and tight as it can be, who knows what can happen. Maybe the world will finally come, or enough will, to change ppl's circumstances.

I think Poland needs to install another "defensive" missile base for the US (which they can used offensively, cause the same radars are used for both, isn't that convenient?), like Poland won't be taken out by unstoppable Iskandar missiles or worse their new unstoppable ICBMs (Sarmat), if you poke the bear too often. I worry for you guys and the Baltic states being played by the US to start a war with Russia because the derivative exposure to the technically insolvent central banks need a distraction. There's not enough money in the world even if one EU country goes bankrupt, given the derivatives.

Man. What the fuck? You've gone from hating Windows 10 to "Revolution", slaughter and missile bases. Calm the heck down. It's just a freaking operating system. Nobody cares. You're just a random internet troll here.
