Hi,

I want to load password protected scripts on Kontakt 5.5.2 version.
Is there any way to open the script txt file?
For instance, I want to see scripts of 8Dio, Sample Logic, and so on.

It looks like edit button is not enabled in the most of them.
According to R2R release note, I should be able to read password protected scripts.

Is there a way?

i have not seen 5.5.2 R2r?

 

first i wonder why the op makes serveral of the same threads .

and second not all scripts can be open from kontakt , even not with an cracked kontakt , its not the fault of R2R , its the way 3rd developer and kontakt scripter blocking the edit button directly with putting an slider or empty image over the button that people like the op or everyone can not see what they made , basically protecting the scripts itselves .

and i wonder what you want see in the scripts , you would needs to be an expert if they used KScript editor and the lines and names are randomized .

 

I want to make a synth on kontakt but it looks like some nki files with good scripts are all locked.
Ur right about empty images blocking edit button. How can I erase that image and get access to edit button?

 

ps Keep in mind that notepad will show you the name of the png with extra spaces so "blank.png" will look like "b l a n k . p n g", and it's case sensitive so check capitals letters in the name or it won't work.

 

Where did you get NI Kontakt 5.5.2 released by R2R?

 

That's a great idea. It looks like almost all libraries from 2014 are protected in this manner.
I will post an update. I might upload a list of those block PNG files as I search through their libraries.

Look it up on torrent sites. It came out a while ago.

By the way, the lock.png is true. I could easily spot that lock.png or lock button declared with empty text to block script edit button.
Now I can easily access to all of the scripts out there. I think release groups should consider removing this lock png and lock buttons as a part of their release! It's not too hard to remove them and removing them enables so many more options. They can remove watermarks.. then why not this lock png files?

1. Drag and drop NKR to notepad txt editor and find a name of lock png or block png or whatever looks suspicious and out of context.
2. Create "Resources" folder in your kontakt library folder which has that NKR file.
3. Create "pictures" folder in "Resources" folder
4. Open up Paint.exe and create a 1cm by 1cm red square PNG file with the same name of lock / block png found in text editor.
5. Put that new PNG into pictures folder.
6. Open your kontakt instrument. You'll be able to click on script edit button.

i usually use photoshop (or gimp as alternative) cause paint won't let you use transparency and if the txt related to that png has the attribute resizable set to true then you will need to have transparency to make it work, or you would have to create also the txt and set resizable to false.

 

Yeah, photoshop works. 8Dio, Spitifre Audio, Ilya, Wave Alchemy all use this method.
I think this png removal should become a part of scene release. This allows you to make a new instrument based on their script which is very nice.
Now I can create any synth or instrument based on their script very easily. Thanks a lot.

 

wrong again , not all developer uses just the blank.png there are many other things . and sometimes you can not recreate easily the settings from the instruments which are saved . you can also create instruments out of other instruments without unlocking the scripts .

how long are you using kontakt ?

 

The majority of them I have could be unlocked with that fake PNG. I'm thinking about building a synth with scripts taken from other libraries.

 

The version is real. It's real 5.5.2 which can run kontakt libraries based on 5.5.2.

 

why not learning everything from scratch and build your own scripts and making your own libs ? in this way you just will learning alot how something works for real . if you do that , take scripts from other developer just for yourselves , ok , but if you would make that public its kinda lame to take the work from other people .

its probably the UNLOCKED release, you can check if its really r2r version by saving an encrypted patch, if it won't let you save the patch with samples and the option is greyed out then it's not r2r, anyway UNLOCKED one works fine and if you need to save an encrypted patch to compress samples you may keep the cracked exe from the previous r2r release and it still works.

About what Tin Tin said, he is right, some variables in the script may have been tweaked and copy/paste the script won't transfer the tweaked value, to solve this, save the script and load it in the new patch, then use the trick and edit there...

be careful about "on nrpn" in scripts, some devs use it to store watermarking
