Can anyone recommend a sample library for this kind of music?

Hello everyone, i'd like to do some composing but i don't know what sample libraries i should use. From what i've heard, this kind of music consists not only orchestral sample.

Here is the link to the music (Youtube) :

The sound of the music is a little bit "pop" genre, though i dont know what exactly the genre is.
Any sample libraries would be appreciated, but i prefer if there is a sample pack that consists many instruments.

    Thanks Before !

Omnisphere is pretty diverse and has many sounds from Piano, to guitars, reversed pads etc... To leads and such. I bet a lot of that music had some Omnisphere love in it. As a single library/software, Omnisphere would fit this perfectly. But that's not a sample pack which you may want. I think Samplephonics have many packs that can help with this.

Isn't this just easy listening? You can do fine with anything honestly. Omnisphere as the guy above me said has a lot of sounds but honestly they are filled with FX. If you take them dry, bleah

So grab yourself some acoustic instruments replicas and some synths and you should be done. For soft synths, anything could work because you're not going to need super complex sounds. For the pianos, guitars and the other real instruments, maybe your DAW has something already inside? What I'm trying to say is, you won't need to spend a lot and grab thousands of GBs to make something like this. Kontakt with its Factory Library is a good starting point maybe? It is a "generic stuff thing" because it includes a wide spectrum of things

Wait for other experts though, I'm just a nawb :bleh:

Thanks, it looks like it will satisfy what i need including synths. However do you have any experience about omnisphere? How CPU demanding is it as my computer isn't high end.

Unfortunately i'm using reaper so there's no built-in Vsts lol. Okay thanks i'll check it out. I'm just using kontakt free player so i didn't know about the factory library.

Don't use Omnisphere, if your computer can't handle it - there are reverbs on almost every preset and it takes a lot of ram.

It's a little demanding. However like Mladbamuk said above they are filled with FX like reverbs etc.... But you can just turn them off to save CPU/RAM and add your own fx after. It's a really versatile VST, but can demand a bit after a few patches. If you run into that problem, just bounce the programming to a WAV or whatever and delete the synth to save CPU.

Sound like mainly acoustic piano, some electric piano, faint trip-hop drums now and then, a bit of DX7-type synth, occasional clean picked electric guitar – and lots of modulating reverb (such as Valhalla Shimmer) and delay (i.e., Native Instruments Replika). Ce n'est pas de sorcière.

Yup that's what I was thinking due to its massive sounds source library you can literally engineer almost any possibility. I would suggest turning off any fx that you can bus on your daw to save CPU as Omni can be CPU intensive.

Hi. I'd go for Kontakt (Full Version) as it comes with a pretty good library of everything from pianos to VSL strings to synths and drums and the good thing about kontakt is there are so many libraries out there you can just keep on expanding! As for the synth, one of my favourites is Lennar Digital Sylenth as is Native Instruments Massive. It also depends on your budget of course. I agree with backtired and would say the music comes under the easy listening/soundtrack genre. Just remember try stuff out first - lots of manufacturers give you demos to try out their software. But I would say Kontakt is a must if you want to keep on expanding. For example there are a couple of decent pianos that come with Kontakt but you can always buy better ones which are anything from $80 right up to silly money. But with Kontakt you can expand in to synths, guitars, choirs - anything! And Native Instruments Massive and Lennar Digital Sylenth well, get those two and they'll keep you busy for years to come!! Hope that helps! Oh one more thing - Komplete 10 has everything you need and includes Kontakt but if your budget doesn't reach that far you can buy Kontakt on its own like I did.

Omnisphere will be you're best friend for this stuff. For the piano, I recommend "Emotional Piano" for Kontakt. Shit, even Omnisphere will get that sound. I have a feeling that whole song was made with Omnisphere.
Edit: In fact, this song reminds me of a piece I did in 2014:
For the piano, I used an old library called "Emotional Piano" for Kontakt. I forget the developer's name. For the kick, I used Sonic Academy's "Kick" Nicky Ramero edition. For the synths, I used the "Botanica" preset packs for U-he Zebra2. Just go on the sister site & look up "botanica". You'll find it. Lol.
But I simply recommend that you just go get Omnisphere2 for this. Trust me, it will be your best friend for music production & sounds like these. It will blow you away.

Omnisphere 2 will do it , here is one example , watch more of Plugingurus videos and u will agree.
You cant do complex sounds without a good PC, so just render all sounds (or freeze) to wav and layer it track by track...
BTW Omnisphere has abt 20000 sounds (integrated) it takes weeks to just try

Hey Impressive! Got to agree with the Tonehammer Emotional Piano! Love it for ballads and softer piano parts. I can't comment on Omnisphere because I've never used it! Thanks! Cribs.
