Hey Guys I can't take it anymore is there a good Tuning Kick Vst Plugin that can say in a second in which key the kick is? it takes so long every time. I wanna now in fast time in which for key the kick is, i think everybody wanna know that. There are a lot kick samples and it takes so long to look in what for key the kick is.
Hope that someone can help me.

    friendly Greetings.

I use SCOPE, but any analyzer would do the trick, no?
Anyway some 909 samples I got aren't really in "any key", as in there's no real frequency standing out (just saying).

Also KICK and KICK2 let you create them from scratch (but you probably already know them).

As far as i know, there's no such a thing...
But any tuner or even analyser can let u know that. Besides.... your can use your hears... nothing like listening...

Question: how can you tell a kickdrum tone just by your ear? I mean you loop some other instruments playing other notes until they "fit" with the bassdrum? It's probably just good ear experience I guess...

Highly layered kick aren't gonna show any key in a tuner, there is a tuner in samplitude, kicks with layers rarely have a clear key.
What matters is the key of the sub and to determine that on a layered kick you have to use an frequency analyser to see the sub part of the spectrum, and thus you can see the key. It doesn't take long just use an eq wit a piano roll, equilibrium has one, fabfilter too if I remember correctly.
It's the sub that has to be in tuned.

Yes Pro Q by FabFilter has one--and is a great plugin! It's my favorite eq.

I think I saw someone recommand it in a tutorial exactly because it has that very function. It is a very good EQ indeed.

Don't forgot the Waves H-EQ or Dmg Equilibrium, both have that piano roll which you can use as a starting point.

i sometimes pitch a kick up an octave just to hear its pitch better
then compare to a synth to find out what note it is.
but oooof course i mostly trust my ears and then the rest is up to jesus and his friends

you know that kicks might sound bad bad when colliding with a bass on the same frequency as its low part?

    i did that mistake here:

it will be a mixing problem sometimes and makes the kick and bass sound like... one note playing.. all the time

You might want to try Voxengo HarmoniEQ. It works for me.

But nothing beats using your ears. That is if/when you have access to good monitoring devices and environment.

I don't know what genre of music you make. But sometimes its not always about being in key. A kick might sound satisfying to the listener despite not being 100% in key. And a kick tuned to key does not always pass the test of the ears.

The ear is never wrong. If the ear is pleased with it during mixing and still satisfied with the tone and position of the kick hours/days afterwards, then it is right on point whether it is in key or not.

Bazzizm vst, sonic academy kick or kick 2 for stratch your kick. Its very easy. Bigkick rock is well but its more a sampler plug, but you can modulate your kicks in key and frequency.
