humanizing i would say short. for example when the drummer doesnt hit exactly int he same way the drums with the same vol, timing and the timbering. Steve Duda was explaining that great in the pyramind lecture.

well there is also the voice, which can be soulful, but i dont know how to explain that.

When music is compelling and moving to you in a profound way, thats where you find it.
    Le Soul.

  4. There is no shortcut, no magic pill or plug-in, no magical knob so that when turned will gather the requisite spirit to infuse the very life force that skill, knowledge, emotion or heartfelt joy can bring to the experience of both creation and active listening. It is not my intention to preach or talk down to those wanting desperately to believe that there is an easy way, or that someone beginning on their journey, or for even that matter, those that have been going down that road for years to have an audience feel deeply and be moved by the experience one creates either on stage or through other media. Feelings of entitlement are and will always be a barrier to growth as an artist. Too, sadly, not everyone has that spark. Wishing and wanting need to be directly translated into the work that would enable someone to reach their goal, and even then it is not guaranteed.

It has to do with the sense of humanity communicated (as opposed to merely "humanizing") in the recording.

The most important test is,if your music makes you shake your head or move your feet you know you have something special.
If your own music doesnt move you in any way, emotionally or physically then your stuff may not be as good as you think.
Always rely on your primal senses.

When I'm creating music with my production group and look at each other at the exact same time and make a weird screw face look. You know there is something that you just can't see, but feel. That to me is soul. Something you just feel.

The expression of God through the mind, will and emotions of His earthly spiritual images...us.

Whatever it may be to you, know that this question aroused a spiritual nerd-on within me.

This is my nature. Stupidly profound to some, profoundly stupid to the others.

Oh. And groove. Separate and distinct sometimes drastically different pieces falling in place with each other in harmony.

A not so subversive metaphor for the state of worldly union we should all be trying to record.
