I was wondering if any of you are using these libraries:

- Which version of the lib?
- How do they compare to other libs such as Orchestral Tools or Spitfire?
- What are your PC/Mac's specs to run these?

 

I used to use VSL SE, now I use Spitfire. VSL is good if you need a dry sound, but for building and mixing a realistic sounding orchestra, it's a lot of unnecessary work. Spitfire libraries are much better IMO, but more demanding - I stream them off a few SSD's with 32 GB RAM, and they almost take up the full 32 GB with a fully loaded orchestra. I think East West Hollywood Orchestra might be worth getting these days, because they've dropped the price on it severely. If I could do everything over, it might be what I would buy.
