@micheldelux whats EDIROL.Orchestral.v1.0.3 got to do with Algorithmix plugins DX.
Two completely different things

 

@TK its DAW host (older) dependant.

 

Is this Algorithmix still in business? Their site is still up but hasn't changed for some years...hehe.
I also wonder if this plugin still would work...
I mean you have to use a host that would accept the outdated DirectX plugin standart. I think there is a plugin-chainer which still supports DX plugins but i don't know which one.

 

@micheldelux: Thanks for the hint, but as far as I understand the description says they modified the code so that the DX will work in new OSs as well.

@The-RoBoT: I know for example that Reaper and Cubase 5 (the DAW I'm using) still support DX. At least wrapped in Cubase. I remember when I used Win XP back in the days the Algorithmix plugins worked without a problem in Cubase 5.

@DonQ-Juz: Algorithmix is still in business. They released 64Bit VST versions of their plugins a while ago. They are always busy with a lotta other stuff. Coding plugins is not their only business. I think they mostly rely on their reputation instead of always being up to date, which they definitely do have.

 

I wasn't aware of these 64Bit VST versions they released a while ago. Good to hear that they're still in the game...hehe.
