Any good for a pro level producer? Here are the features..

This guy is actually an undercover Samurai,no ordinary human has such skills....i bet he has even killed in life.

 

Damn straight it's good kit for a pro level Producer. Having your photograph professionally taken whilst you sit or stand with one finger resting on one of those badboys makes a wonderful promo shot. I recommend it.

 

Its one of the best controllers out now. Just because YOU can't make magic with it, doesn't mean it isn't capable.

Don't buy at full price. Find it at least 100USD less. If you own K10 Ultimate, buy used since you already have KK software license.

 

It's no substitute for a mouse and a piano roll.

 

Id rather have one of these bad boys. Or the 88key grand, they only made 88.

 

No advertising gimmick, all the listed points are actually implemented aka the product is what NI says it is.

 

here's what i don't understand about the komplete kontrol keyboards: how do they have the nerve to call it komplete kontrol when they offer zero faders and zero pads and only eight oversized knobs to twiddle?i mean seriously, if you're trying to use this to kontrol a daw, i feel sorry for you.

 

i don't want to beat a dead horse, but even if you spend another $600 to buy maschine, you still don't have "komplete kontrol" of your daw. and they do promise "full VST, DAW and hardware control". has native instruments ever put a fader on anything that they sell? have they ever even heard of a fader?

 

The Kontrol Keyboard were made to sync well with other Native Instruments as well as provide a nice feel while playing. The 'light guide' and such are simply additions to those who may not excel in piano theory (scales, chords) and the features embedded further target those producers. To say 'advertising gimmick' would be correct to a certain extent. It is better to learn piano rather than spend extra for a 'lit up assistant'. The only 'real' benefit of this keyboard is to be in tune with your other Native Instruments products.

 

I totally agree! That is where the keyboards serve their main purpose.
