Simple way to get digital guitar sound, using any synthesizer + Guitar Rig by Native Instruments

 

That doesn't sound anything like a guitar... maybe if you tweaked Serum from a plain saw down to a waveform resembling that of a clean electric guitar, played with the envelope to give it a pluck and realistic sustain, and then tweaked Guitar Rig, you'd get in the ballpark. But really, I don't see the point of this video as it is... unless you're going for that kind of sound, of course, but then why call it a guitar? It still sounds like a saw wave...
