not sure how many of you are familiar with that website, but i used to enjoy it, finding there unique acapella content, produce and submit remix stuff, but in the past 2-3 years i saw it's original content being downgraded and since it was handed over under the management of that 'snowflake' singer girl, i saw absolutely no improvement neither further development, lately they have revamped the 'pella' page section in a way that it became barely usable, since i have exhausted the 'unremixed' pellas there is no way to sort out the pellas by submission date at all, the forums are gone.. it is a shame such a great music community website went downhill, i think it should be handed over to another collective of users and devs with more enthusiasm and motivation in order to maintain and develop; and bring back to life a musical community website like that.

i consider now ccmixter.org as now being dead (same applies to remixcomps.com), if anyone can come up with a better suggestion as an alternative, please do so. thanks

 

im not familiar with that community, but twice ive seen the plummet once with a guitar community (free) and again with a composers community (free). if this ccmixter is also (free) then well ...

It did seem to turn into more of a singer/songwriter circle-jerk after Emily Richards took the reins.. it got gentrified, plain and simple.
