Does Oliver Heldens use 808/kick Bass or Melody/Chord Basslines?

    He has a very good groove with his Sub-Bass a long with his melodies which I believe are Mid Bass... The more I l listen I think that it is a big boomy kick with sub-bass.. At first I thought he had a heavy bass-line for the groove. What do you think is creating that under-lining bass groove, the kick/sub or melody/chord bassline.

    I only hear a regular kick and a sine (or triangle or lowpassed saw wave) bass line, playing the same thing as that FM-ish lead.

    Never heard of 808s used as a chord in a bassline. Sounds dangerous.
