if you need to ask that question its probably not ready for itunes or beatport anyway, you should get it professionally mastered, theres a guy that masters mine and a few mates stuff for about 30 euro a track and hes excellent,he focuses primarily on dance records, i cant think of his name or site at the moment cos my buddy usually sends the tracks to him, il check it out and get back to you

maximum of -0.3 with quasi-peak metering. if you use intersample-peak metering then you can go to 0dbFS. But never go above.

(To gain the best quality out of mp3 conversion it is recommended to limit to -6dbFS :D!!! But who does that? Shows how old and bad mp3 actually is. But I dont know if AAC is any better )

    hello, mahdi,

for outputting into mp3 format, if your track has very finely crafted highs, you can go for -0.50 decibel.
if the track is somewhat more matt, dull, the highs are in the maximum 10 khz area, you can go up till -0.05 decibel, but check for the occasional intersample peak, if you do so (usually very rarely comes up, if any time). *yes*

another thing, for the conversion try to get, to use, the Fraunhofer (Institute) codec, this is the better one (at least for my ears, subtle nuances, not some overall shining wonder), or convert with other codecs too, then compare the results so you can decide. *yes*

there is one Sonnox plug-in for the most convenient, most configurable, conversion, google for it, see for yourself, quality is as usual with the firm's things... *yes*

the -6.00 dbfs rule mentioned by Antilles is really there, however i know no one who follows it, as it is... *yes*

i hope it will be some help, keep up the good work...
