To your points @G String I might add that computer has had a very strong impact on economy long before internet. First it's throught the developpement of computerised technology that the new economy was born : no laptop, no smartphone, without microship, etc.
But these new technology wouldn't have been so massively to the reach of everyone (even in countries where people are still starving), if the process of production itself hadn't been in position of being highly shaken (from taylorism to toyotism or whatever)...by the technological evolutions.
Research suggest that there wouldn't be much people except billionaires to buy iphones if the production units hadn't all been sent to China in the mid-80's. That move itself wouldn't have been possible without the great lowering of cost of transportation that was also made possible by technological change, and the possibility to organise labor from all over the world...Etc, etc, etc. Which is exactly what Marx analysed - the birth of a new economical world in the wake of technological progress - through the industrial era. How a new class was borned from that : the working class...And how history would be seriously shaken by that. We saw it.
    Huh...

@Wolverine An additional note, since you made me remember given the blue screens. The personnel of the Aegis cruiser had to get psychological help, because they were so freaked out, they couldn't continue. I wonder what happened after the second time, idk if it was the same crew or not.

@Talmi This is the new working class:

Yeah, before the internet. The internet is an appendage (a major one) to the machine that can do everything.

The most interesting part of Marx/materialism and computers imo is that material reality makes the content of man's minds.....not the other way around (as most people seem to believe). So computers, transforming production and thereby transforming 'material reality' transforms human minds...........

I've always been quite evangelical about technology but nowadays, with the cloud stuff and processing happening off-site and under surveillance I have changed my mind. Why wouldn't a potential critical aspect of our liberty equally be our own potential cage?

I appreciate your having read (and understood) what I wrote.
    Well, somewhere. :D

Yes, you have to install W10 and W7 on separate hard disks. Not even separate partitions, but separate hard disks. That's the safest procedure.

@G String I've smelled your G String, and it was a BAD idea. Ever do that and go, oh fk, bad idea? Usually it's more like aromatherapy and actually changes my mood and gives me a testosterone spurt...

Computers are REALLY old, there's a navigation computer they accidentally dug up in the Mediterranean that "shouldn't exist." Ppl swallow the line of crap they're taught, and never inspect, so they do deserve what they get:
    http://www.iflscience.com/technolog...ion-may-unlock-secrets-worlds-oldest-computer

Read about "culture creation" G String, it'll make you puke. You think our "rulers" got us to accept, e.g., gay marriage over 10-20 years? It's over more than a 100 years. These little wicked weaklings (though very smart and ruthless) plan over generations, thinking they reincarnate (they b crazy, yo).

Everything starts as a thought, if you have the balls, it becomes action. Not the other way around, except for the little ppl (plebs). Plebs get funneled by culture creation and the tools at hand to make the inferences and behaviors already chosen for them. Yo. Think about it.

@Talmi The ONLY reason for the allowance of the plebs to get the tech they got was to create this current burst of population to produce the final scientific minds the elite needed to finish the tech they needed. You need a LOT of ppl to produce a very few smarty pants. It's not the idea of Ford (who ate scavenged weeds from the roads he traveled, crazy bastard), that you pay your workers to buy your stuff. No, no, no, over the years and revolutions, the elite have learned from their mistakes and have created a "scientific" dictatorship...

You know most humans that have ever existed, exist now? Htf did they find so many unused souls? Oh well, there goes that theory...

Either way, thank god my son is taller than me at 15 years old. I got to see him for the first time in 4 years.
Man and son.jpg and yes, I wore that shirt to see him for the first time in the facility that he lives in because I'm living in an open air prison in the US, because you have to prove you're innocent if you are just accused of anything-- if you're a man nowadays...if they give you a day in court...still waiting! On the up side, the religious institution is gonna use him as their mascot for how well their facility runs and works, because "he's so smart and well behaved," which I have no problem with if they help him and he doesn't wind up turned out with a tear forcibly tattooed near his eye.

I can't think about this win10 stuff anymore. Hopefully, a bloodless coup happens and Trump is allowed to win (election not stolen), or he gets denied the nomination with a trick in the Repub (repub in name only) convention, and civil war starts, or they assassinate him (he was "depressed" and "committed suicide"...there was an airplane crash, and all were killed...some with bullets holes, like Ron Brown), and civil war starts. Either way, I'm starting to try to exercise again, cause it looks like someone is gonna need a good medic.

Remember: Girls just want to have fun. They were right. "An unexamined life ain't worth living," but neither is an examined one given the current state of the world.

@SineWave I "heard of a guy" that was in the same position as that bloke in your video and got so pissed at Vista, he became a pirate. That "guy" who I don't know, only left XP to win7 because of a computer purchase denied him/her the XP option. (S)he had XP disc ready to go the second it acted like vista or wtf was the other one after/before vista?

@SineWave's tag, Aldous Huxley was an elite insider that used fiction to sound the alarm, or there's this weird thing with the elite: they have to tell you what they're gonna do before they do it, like a vampire has to be asked in before it drains you of blood. Very strange. He's one of the great minds, imo, but as a dead white male, pigeon holed like in the movie Brazil. In the misandrist western society, no man shall not be universally vilified. So that makes it's polar opposite, those guys that point east. I'm rooting for them.

Does anyone know what misandrist means? It took me a month to find the word. Everyone knows what misogynist means, right? This is because your culture creators think (they are dumb) that controlling the language will control thought. Only 30% of ppl think in words or sounds, 60% with visuals, 10% (like me) kinesthetic. To me a math equation has a feel, a texture...so does sound...

Oh, I accidentally read news while I ate, and came across Wendy's eliminating cashier jobs in 6,000 locations by the end of this year with machines that will pay for themselves within a year. Total cost of machines := nil. Amazon bought the company that made their order picking machines and the machines themselves to eliminate all the workers in the UK or Ireland, I forgot and paid off the 775MM dollas in a year too! fml. From now on, it's gonna be coming hard and fast. Hope you like it hard and fast. (Not me, the automation!)

I got to stop this "reading" stuff.

Micro$oft had some interesting things to say at the UN on 11 May. This guy will probably not regret his decision once he knows what they are planning to do with his data :)

@Andrew Get lucky and buy something that comes with tech support. Nowadays, idk htf they did it, but most India Indians (Desi if it was porn? idfk) are taught without an accent. You would think that would help, right? but no! It gets super scary. Think of this scenario that happened to me.
"Hi, I'm having trouble with my router. "
"Hi, ok sir, you are having trouble with your router"
    "Yes, I am, I can't get it to do x, y or z"
"You can't get it to do x, y or z?"
    "No, I can't"
"Sir, pls shut off the router and turn it back on."
"I've tried that, in fact, I've tried all the stuff in the manual, that's the only reason why I'm calling you."
"Did you turn off the router?"
[wtf] "May I pls speak to technical support"
    "Hi, this is technical support"
"No, I mean the technical support that doesn't use cards for answers." "Do you even understand me, if I speak in a complicated way?" "You're english sounds great, but do you understand me at all?"
    "Hi, this is technical support"
"No it's not. It's ppl with fake accents pretending they have a clue what native english speakers are saying"

And no, I don't dislike India Indians at all, though the women were the ONLY race I haven't slept with, but I only tried Brahmins, yeah, that was going past possible...the men I've met in grad school and employment are fine too, though when I ask wtf is up with this riot or that in India, they just say, "they're crazy." I try to find out the real news, not the news presented to me, so I ask ppl that understand the native language for verification and information...from various parts of the world.

I just google shit now, there's a forum somewhere that's close enough I can figure out the rest. The only time I've found that if you can get passed the "smiling" girls part of Apple's tech support that always takes 30 mins, to the guy that fixes your problem in 2 mins, was the only time tech support actually helped me. I told him ty for not talking thru a smile and actually fixing their side (as I suspected) but, that was iphone 4 or so days, I don't use Apple stuff anymore, I like lighter chains.

I've had a dozen or so interactions of various levels of incompetence from language to subject matter ignorance, so this one I can remember isn't the best example...but if I could remember the exact parrot like responses providing no obvious insight to what I just said, that would have been cool. I promise, if you try, you can get that experience.

Summing up these 45 pages of the Privacy Policy and Service Agreement, one can say that Microsoft basically grants itself very broad rights to collect everything you do, say and write with and on your devices in order to sell more targeted advertising or to sell your data to third parties. The company appears to be granting itself the right to share your data either with your consent “or as necessary”.

“Microsoft’s updated privacy policy is not only bad news for privacy. Your free speech rights can also be violated on an ad hoc basis as the company warns:
we will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to”, for example, “protect their customers” or “enforce the terms governing the use of the services”.

I for one do not agree with this and will not upgrade until I absolutely have to.
Its a violation of my privacy.

Be aware with the new Win 10 privacy policy you confirmed, that MS can collect any information from your box they want.
They also mentioned cooperation with law enforcement agencies.

Usual registry hacks to provide more privacy are not enough, since arstechnica revealed hard-coded spying functions in Windows 10, which operate/communicate to the outside, regardless of privacy settings and hints (already published).

Further more MS forces its so called Trusted Computing activities related to Hardware/Bios/Firmware-based stuff too (since Win 8, several documents are online).

So at the end, offline Win 10 means a complete separated computer, without any network cable connected.
And this seems to be a challenge, since the PC-OS and its apps relies more and more on connectivity.

There are a lot of discussions out there about this topic.
In sum I would say, it is not enough to ask 'Will my favorite apps function?'.

The often underestimated, but most important question is: 'Is this Win 10 turn reliable in the long run?'.

And that's a serious question, we mostly never had to ask before- regarding to MS PC-OS upgrades, until Windows 10.

Yeah, governments are really really displeased with people talking, brainstorming, and criticising freely amongst themselves. That's outrageous! We shouldn't be able to talk freely, damn it! [sarc.] That means their TV, radio, and web propaganda is becoming increasingly useless. <-- great! :hahaha: Yeah, people can finally choose what they want to read, hear, believe and get entertained with, thus escaping the jaws of their propaganda machines. Me like wholeheartedly.

Use Linux for Internet, people, it is really really not that hard at all, and the feeling you get from it is generally one of freedom and bliss.

Besides, governments don't want you to use Linux, for obvious reasons. They don't want smart and independent people with their own opinions. I've never listened to anyone but myself in these matters... any matter, actually. :hahaha: :winker:

@Voo "If you are doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about." -- josef goebbels
...and now my government, as if, I'd not notice who the fk said this before.

@SineWave Just come to NYC and piss in the streets and take a selfie, after walking around with a paperbag'd 40, and throw it against the wall when your finished. That's all legal now.

Upgrade all you want ppl, we're still going down the toilet. In fact, MY CITY is now a toilet, because it was racist (sic) to enforce laws about not pissing, drinking or littering in the streets:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ng-street-drinking-alcohol-bag-littering.html

I get the irony, I have to learn this about my city from a UK paper.

Uh oh, wait a second. You can't run and pee, you could be charged with public lewdness which would make you a sex offender...! No bueno.
