Hi guys, help me to put chords (for pads) to this melody I made, Im not so good with chords, i started to learn about it yesterday but I need to make a song for a friend asap.

Take the notes from your melody and construct the chords from them.

 

Give it up and find a hobby that you have a clue about.... SMFH.

{Rant}

Seeing all the nonsense delivered by foster (which most of his time is calculating the notes in the scales without actually making music), all the stupid (because let's face it, they can't be categorised as "noob") questions of Faoki and now this... if one does not know at least some basic basic music theory, minimal hardware & software knowledge and yet he/she wants to make music... what's the purpose of it?
I mean any product is made either by people who feel that their product could be valuable to the others and/or by people that have a skill towards making the said product. What these people do know?

Deadmau5 (Avicii too) had made hundreds of unreleased tracks before consciously realising that his skill is at a level good enough for the music market and I'm pretty sure neither one was looking around on forums for bloody chords. And this guy (OP) started learning about chords yesterday and already asks not for help in some aspect in music theory but for straight written down chords? I agree that some stuff has the place to be discussed here as the music field is literally endless, good people have a lot of experience to share, but - forgive me for this rant - I find this topic outrageous.
I don't know guys... for me music is making melodies, bass lines and chords and crafting sounds and grabbing 10 random drum hits and make a new one with what I have. If I ask for help to someone to make a melody for me, to someone else to design a lead, to someone else to come up with a punchy kick, what's left for me? Copy/paste?

And FFS Faoki, if you can be bothered to read the only 2 monthly electronic music mags, you'll find there the answers for the questions you didn't ask yet, you lazy ****.

Thanks a lot you really helped me, sorry to all for any inconvenience... yes Im just starting I use fl studio and I just build midi blocks there and so.

I made this melody for a special friend and thats why it was necessary to finish this song...so that was the reason of my "request" sorry again if this post was inappropriate

 

Impressive, thumbs up to you . Humility is a lost cause to some. And to help someone who's a novice in their hobby is very indicative of a strong character. Kudos to you, and nice chords.

Never in my over 25 years making music could have imagine something like this.
If you don't know a freaking chord, man, wow... is just embarrassing.

 

Just use the melody and no chords. Less is more.

It sets you apart from others. This is important. Think different!

These days chords are way to overrated. For example, there is no single chord which has not been already played and listened to, over and over again- since centuries.

You know a real star creates his own genre.

Is the key F Major or Bb Major?

 

Man some of you guys are huge jerks. Maybe go work on your amazing songs oozing with musical theory knowledge instead of making fun of someone politely asking for help? There's nothing wrong with him wanting to make music for fun without considering it a "product" and there's nothing wrong with him not having a "purpose" for making it beyond enjoyment. If you don't want to write chords for him, fine (I don't either) but no reason to dogpile the poor kid for asking a newbie question to finish his song he stated he had a reason for needing finished soon, just move on.

 

I used Bb major in the midi file. Pretty simple:
Bb F Cm Eb - was the basic concept. I just goofed around and did some variations to both chord types and chord voicing alike, with a couple of other basic chord progressions like F Gm Eb Bb
